Falun Dafa practitioners Ms. Li Fengtian and Ms. Guo Ying from Yi County, Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province, were reported to policed at 10:00 p.m. on August 6, 2006, when they were distributing truth clarification materials in Baimiaozi Township, Yi County. They were taken to the Baimiaozi Township Police Station and then transferred to the Yi County Detention Center at noon on August 7, 2006. Both practitioners held hunger strikes to protest the arrest, and their families demanded their release. After ten days of illegal detention, Yi County Police Department and Yi County Detention Center officials secretly sent Ms. Li Fengtian to the Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp on August 15, 2006, to further persecute her, without following any legal procedure or notifying her family.

When they learned about this, Ms. Li’s family went to the Jinzhou Forced Labor Camp, but the authorities refused to let them meet with her. They did discover that Ms. Li had been holding a hunger strike to protest the persecution and had been brutally force-fed.

Practitioner Ms. Guo Ying was sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp on the morning of August 16. The labor camp officials refused to accept her because she didn’t pass the physical exam. She has returned home.
