Sept. 7, 2006

(Clearwisdom.net) The Falun Dafa Association and the Clearwisdom website established the Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China (CIPFG) on April 4, 2006. Some recently collected investigation leads are presented below. We hope that people will continue to help us expose the organ harvesting and other cruel persecution that continue to be perpetrated today in labor camps, prisons, and hospitals in China. We hope for your help to put an end to these atrocities.

1. Investigation Lead: Guangzhou Huaqiao Hospital Nurse Said: You May be Able to Get a "Practitioner's" Kidney, But You Can't Pursue it

Telephone investigation record:

Time: morning of August 31

Location: Guangzhou Huaqiao Hospital

Question: When can you perform a kidney transplant?

Nurse: We can perform one tomorrow and also during each month. If you want to match HLA [the six human leukocyte antigens that help the body immune system identify if the organ is foreign or not], you do not have to worry about your long-term survival. You can have a transplant at any time if you do not want to match it.

Question: How much do you charge for a transplant?

Nurse: 100,000 yuan.

Question: Why is it more expensive than at other hospitals?

Nurse: It is a bit more expensive. Our director sets the price. The quality of our kidney sources are quite good. The donors are relatively young.

Question: Where do the kidneys come from?

Nurse: From donations. Maybe a car accident. Sometimes they are just brain dead, and at other times there is still a heartbeat.

Question: I heard that you had available as donors very healthy practitioners a while ago. Do you still have such donors?

Nurse: If you are lucky, there may be such a donor. But you can't pursue it. You may come across such a donor, but you can't pursue it.

2. Investigation Lead: Many People Are Awaiting Kidney Transplants at the Guangdong Armed Police Hospital

Telephone investigation record:

Times: morning of August 31

Location: Guangdong Armed Police Hospital

Question: When can you perform a kidney transplant?

Nurse: Many people are already waiting for a transplant.

Director Zhong Gening: You can come now.

Question: How much for a kidney?

Zhong: 80,000 to 90,000 yuan. What is the blood type?

Answer: Type A.

Zhong Gening said that they had many patients with blood type A a while ago. They had six to seven type A donors. Now, there are less patients with blood type A, so there is no problem in finding a donor with blood type A.

Question: What about the source of the kidney? I hope the donor is not dead?

Zhong Gening: They are brought in by professionals. They must be tested, very healthy, and very...... They may have donated it or people died from a car accident.

Question: Where did that many people die in a traffic accident?

Zhong: It will be handled fairly and in a reasonable manner. You do not need to ask the source of the organ.

3. Investigation Lead: Sichuan Deyang Prison Forced Falun Dafa Practitioners to Have a Blood Test

On February 19, 2005, guard Zeng Guifu of division two at Deyang Prison in Sichuan announced that all prisoners must take a blood test. None knew the purpose for this blood test. But, Falun Dafa practitioners and most other prisoners resisted, guessing that this must have a sinister motive. Guard Cui Weigang said after he noticed the resistance that "Falun Gong practitioners must take the blood test."

Falun Dafa practitioners Yang Yourun and Gong Guanlei resisted, and did not allow their blood to be taken. Guard Ma Chengde ordered several prisoners to drag Yang Yourun and Gong Guanlei to the second floor for strict monitoring. They were forced to stand the entire night, not given a quilt, and exposed to the cold. It was very cold at that time. They were not allowed to sit and rest and had to eat while standing. They were not allowed to wash the dish or clean themselves. The minute they sat down, they were beaten by the prisoners. Lan Wei, the chief of the strict discipline team, and several prisoners participated in persecuting the practitioners.

4. Investigation Lead: Chongqing Medical College Affiliated No. 2 Hospital Performs First Liver and Kidney Transplant on One Patient

Between July 5 and July 11, 2006, we found in Edition 75 of the "Medicine Guide" an article titled "First Liver and Kidney Transplant on one Patient in Chongqing was Successful." For this transplant operation, more than ten liver and kidney experts were present at Chongqing Medical College Affiliated No. 2 Hospital. The operation took 13 hours. The patient was Ms. Li, 51 years of age. The donor(s) of liver and kidney were not provided.
