1. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Practitioner Ms. Wu Huarong Forced to Leave Town with No Place to Stay
On October 11, 2007, Ms. Wu Huarong, a practitioner in Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province, was coerced into resigning from her position. Ms. Wu is from Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. She was assigned to the Information Engineering Department in the Jiangxi Province Metallurgy Professional Institute. Before October 1, 2007, some of the teachers reported to authorities that Ms. Wu was clarifying the truth among the teachers and students. Following the direction of the Xinyu City 610 Office, Yang Jianhua (male), chairperson of the Information Engineering Department, escorted Ms. Wu to the security department of the institute. Zhang Yuming (gender unknown), Party secretary of the institute, Liu Shaobin (male), head of the security division, and Gan Xiaohui (male), took turns interrogating Ms. Wu Huarong. They threatened her and told she must write reports. After Ms. Wu refused, she was coerced into resigning. On the evening of October 11, when she realized that she had been placed under surveillance, Ms. Wu Huarong left Xinyu City. She has no place to stay.

2. [Huangchuan County, Henan Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Ying'e Missing for Five Years
Ms. Li Ying'e, 50 years old, is a practitioner in Huangchuan County, Henan Province. She formerly worked in the Huangchuan County Textile Factory. Her home is on the fourth floor of Unit 1, Building 2 in the family quarters of Huangchuan County Textile Factory. On around January 12, 2002, she went to Beijing to clarify the truth. The last letter received from Ms. Li was in the spring of 2002. She has not been heard from since that time.

3. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Police Extort Cash from Practitioner Mr. Li Jianping
Mr. Li Jianping, a practitioner in Qinhuai District, Nanjing City, is the owner of a private enterprise. He has been unlawfully detained in a detention center and in brainwashing centers numerous times for his belief in Falun Dafa. The perpetrators are the Nanjing City 610 Office, the Qinhuai District 610 Office, the Qinhuai District Police Department, and the Shuangtang Police Station in Qinhuai District. Some of the officials took Mr. Li's internment as an opportunity to collect fines and extort money from him. They have placed him under constant surveillance and continue to find him at fault. The police have even coerced his family into mortgaging their home to force him to give up the practice. Mr. Li's family suffers from a great deal of stress and misery.

4. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Mr. Tong Huanxiang's Family of Three Taken into Custody
At around 5:00 p.m. on October 11, 2007, Mr. Tong Huanxiang, a practitioner in High and New Technology District in Weihai City, and his wife and their daughter were surrounded by a group of plainclothes police officers near the Weihai International Sea Water Bathing Pool. The officers called in a dozen or so armed policemen, who forcibly pushed Mr. Tong and his wife into a police vehicle. Their eight-year-old daughter was scared and cried out. The police took the three of them to the High and New Technology District Police Department. The police confiscated Mr. Tong and his wife's bags and took the keys to their office and home. During an unlawful search of both premises, the police confiscated four portraits of the founder of Falun Gong, twenty or so Falun Dafa books, several dozen copies of weekly truth-clarification publications, Fa-lecture cassettes, two personal computers, one notebook computer, two ink-jet printers, a desktop printer, two removable hard drives, two paper cutters, a stereo system, a binder, and MP3 players. The total value of the property taken was estimated at 20,000 yuan. Mr. Tong was taken to the detention center at around 10:00 p.m. the same night. His wife and daughter were not released until around midnight.
At around 5:00 p.m. on October 11, several plainclothes officers chased and beat Mr. Zhang Guodong, a practitioner in High and New Technology District, and he was taken into custody. At present, Mr. Zhang's situation is not known.
Sometime around October 11, during the evening, the police unlawfully searched the home of Ms. Jiao Guichun, a practitioner in High and New Technology District. Ms. Jiao has left town and her whereabouts are unknown.
5. [Dezhou City, Shandong Province] Practitioner Ms. Liu Fengzhen Unlawfully Detained
On September 17, 2007, Ms. Liu Fengzhen, 45, manager of the Heat Treatment Center of Dezhou Daming Machinery Company in Shandong Province, was distributing truth-clarification materials in Decheng District, Dezhou City. Officers from the Changzhuang Police Station, who were on a stake-out to illegally arrest practitioners, took Ms. Liu to the police station. The same night, half a dozen officers of the Dezhou City 610 Office, the Decheng District Police Department, and the Changzhuang Police Station searched Ms. Liu's office and home. The officers confiscated truth-clarification materials, personal computers and other items. Ms. Liu Fengzhen remains in custody at the Dezhou City Detention Center.
6. [Shaoyang City, Hunan Province] Three Practitioners Taken into Custody
At 6:00 a.m. on October 11, 2007, forty officers from the 610 Office and the state security division took into custody practitioners Mr. He Yunfeng and Ms. Liu Aihua. On the morning of October 12, a dozen police officers took Mr. Zhao Xinhua into custody.
Mr. He Yunfeng, in his thirties, has been unlawfully sentenced to one year of forced labor and has also been persecuted numerous times for his firm belief in Falun Dafa. During the first half of this year, members of the 610 Office tried to take Mr. He away, but they were stopped by Mr. He's parents, who gave the officers a stern scolding.
Ms. Liu Aihua, in her fifties, has been persecuted many times. Her husband suffers from severe illness and has been left unattended at home.
Mr. Zhao Xinhua, in his sixties, has been persecuted numerous times as well.
7. [Mianyang City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Mr. Yan Xiaolin and Ms. Mou Ling Taken into Custody
At around 10:00 a.m. on October 12, 2007, Mr. Yan Xiaolin, a practitioner at Southwestern Science and Technology University, was taken away by state security officers in Mianyang City at the university's Teaching Affairs Office. At around the same time, practitioner Ms. Mou Ling was taken away by the state security officers in Mianyang City while she was teaching a class.
8. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Elderly Practitioner Mr. Wang Dong Taken Away from Home
On the morning of October 11, 2007, Mr. Wang Dong, a practitioner in High and New Technology District in Xi'an City, was taken away from his home by state security officers in Beilin District and officers of the Taibai Road Police Station. The police confiscated Falun Dafa materials from his home. Mr. Wang's wife suffers from high blood pressure and cannot take care of herself. Regardless, the police took into custody Mr. Wang, who is almost 70 years old. Mr. Wang's whereabouts are unknown. His wife has been left unattended.
9. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Xiaojinzi's Home Unlawfully Searched
At around noon on October 9, 2007, officers of the Zhaoyuan County Police Department in Daqing City led officers from Daqing City to the home of a practitioner whose nickname is Xiaojingzi. Xiaojinzi happened not to be at home so the police were unable to arrest him. They confiscated Falun Dafa books, truth-clarification materials, a personal computer, a printer and other personal items.

10. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Practitioners Ms. Chen Mingan and Mr. Li Xueqing Taken to Brainwashing Center
On September 30, 2007, Ms. Chen Mingan, a practitioner in the Hujiamiao area of Xi'an City, was taken from her home to the Chang'an District Workers Rehabilitation Center for brainwashing. On October 16, 2007, practitioner Mr. Li Xueqing was taken to the Chang'an District Workers Rehabilitation Center for brainwashing.
11. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Residential Committees in Dongxihu District Harass Practitioners
Recently, under orders from the Dongxihu District 610 Office in Wuhan City, officials of various residential committees have been harassing practitioners. Many practitioners have been visited by these officials, who ask them to report to the local residential committees every day. They are also asked to meet other demands.
12. [Da'an City, Jilin Province] 610 Office Agents Harass Practitioners in Their Homes
Recently, agents of the Da'an City 610 Office have hired jobless or otherwise idle people to harass practitioners in their homes. The officials are concerned about practitioners going to Beijing to file appeals. In addition, the police unlawfully searched practitioner Ms. Zhou's home a week ago.
13. [Huanggang City, Hubei Province] Police Search Homes of Practitioners Ms. Yu Kangmei and Ms. Zhou Jianxiang
On October 3 and October 4, 2007, three to five officers from the Dongmen Police Station in the Huangzhou area went to the homes of practitioners Ms. Yu Kangmei and Ms. Zhou Jianxiang. The officers confiscated Falun Dafa books and materials in Ms. Yu's home. Ms. Zhou was not at home, and the police did not find anything. In addition, it has been reported that suspicious people have been loitering around practitioners' homes to keep an eye on the practitioners.
14. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Weng Zuxiu Taken into Custody
On October 8, 2007, Ms. Weng Zuxiu, a practitioner in Dongxihu District, was clarifying the truth face-to-face in the Yangchahu area of Hankou City (which is in the jurisdiction of Wuhan City). She was taken into custody and her whereabouts are unknown.
15. [Yingkou City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Duan Dechen Taken into Custody
On October 12, 2007, Mr. Duan Dechen, a practitioner in Yingkou City, Liaoning Province, was on his way to Suiling County, Heilongjiang Province. He was taken into custody by officers of the Chezhan Police Station in Suiling County.

16. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Four Practitioners Taken into Custody While Clarifying the Truth
On October 6, 2007, Ms. Yuan Xiuying and her husband, Ms. Yuan Xiurong, and Mr. Han Yuxiang were clarifying the truth in the streets. The police took them into custody after receiving reports.
17. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Cui Lixin Sent to Labor Camp
On September 28, 2007, Ms. Cui Lixin, a practitioner in Shijiazhuang City, was taken away from her home by officers of the Yucai Street Police Station. She was sent directly to the Division No. 4 in the forced labor camp. She has been unlawfully sentenced to serve a term of fifteen months. Her family has been denied visits.
18. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioner Mr. Gao Ke Taken to Division No. 1 in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp
On September 13, 2007, Mr. Gao Ke, a practitioner in Harbin City, was clarifying the truth to pedestrians in Daoli District, Harbin City. Officers of the Stalin Police Station took him into custody upon receiving reports. Mr. Gao was sent to the Harbin City No. 1 Detention Center. He has been on a hunger strike for eighteen days. On September 30, he was taken to the No. 1 Division in Changlinzi Forced Labor Camp in Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province.
19. [Cang County, Hebei Province] Practitioner Ms. Li Wenjun Taken into Custody
On the evening of October 9, 2007, officers from the Cang County Police Station and those from the Daguanting Township Police Station in Cang County climbed over a wall and forcibly took into custody Ms. Li Wenjun, a practitioner from Lusi Village. Ms. Li is being held at the Cang County Detention Center. The police confiscated Falun Dafa books and a personal computer.
20. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Mr. Zhao Fei Taken to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp
Mr. Zhao Fei, a practitioner from Jinzhou District in Dalian City, had been unlawfully held at the Development District Detention Center for several months. Because the police were unable to successfully extort money in exchange for granting his parole, he was secretly sent to the labor camp without notifying his family. Mr. Zhao is to serve two years of forced labor. He is at the No. 8 Division in Masanjia Forced Labor Camp in Liaoning Province.
21. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Elderly Practitioner Ms. Gao Hairu Taken into Custody at Home
Ms. Gao Hairu, around 70 years old, is a practitioner in Wuying Village, Wangzhuang Town, Guangyang District, Langfang City, Hebei Province. Early in the evening on October 11, 2007, officers from the Wangzhuang Town Police Station took Ms Gao into custody at her home. The police also unlawfully searched her home. Her family members went to the police station demanding for her release but were rejected.

22. [Huangdao City, Shandong Province] Additional Information on the Unlawful Detention of Practitioner Ms. Zhang Baoyun
On the morning of September 22, practitioner Ms. Zhang Baoyun, 37, was seeing her family members off at the railroad station. She was followed by the Huangdao police. Officers dragged her into a police car and took her to the Hainan Road Police Station in Huangdao City. Later, four or five officers, led by the deputy director with the surname Han, broke into her home and took Falun Dafa books and materials. Ms. Zhang has been held in the detention center for over 20 days. Detention center officials have denied her family's visits.
A few days before September 22, Huangdao police sent officers to follow Ms. Zhang Baoyun and to stake out her home. She was not under the jurisdiction of Huangdao City, and so the officers did not take action right away. Last spring, officers in Pingdu City, whose jurisdiction is the area where Ms. Zhang lives, assisted Huangdao police in harassing Ms. Zhang. The Pingdu police officers entered Ms. Huang's home under the pretense of verifying residential status. Nothing was found and they had to leave.

On October 11, 2007, Ms. Zhou Guimin, a practitioner in Anshan City, Liaoning Province, was clarifying the truth in the No. 11 High School. Officers of the Lingshan Police Station took her into custody and searched her home. Ms. Zhou's whereabouts are unknown.

24. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Yuying and Other Practitioners Sent to Labor Camp
On the morning of September 21, 2007, the police took into custody practitioners in Shijiazhuang City: Ms. Wang Yuying, Ms. Wang Guifeng, Ms. Yu Liying, Ms. Li Yumei, and Ms. Li Xiuxia. Ms. Yu Liying was released the same night. The other four practitioners were placed in detention. Each practitioner's family was ordered to pay 300 yuan to cover miscellaneous costs. On September 30, all four practitioners were unlawfully sentenced to forced labor. They are being held in Division No. 5 in Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp.

On October 9, 2007, Ms. Zhai, a practitioner who lives in Hongqiao District, Tianjin, was taken into custody by the police. The police arrived at her home in the morning, under the pretense of verifying residential paperwork. In the evening, the police came back and claimed that there was something wrong with the paperwork and asked her to go to the police station. Ms. Zhai is being held in custody at the Xiyuzhuang Police Station in Hongqiao District, Tianjin.
27. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Mr. Li Tianmin and His Wife Ms. Lou Hongmei Taken into Custody
At around noon on October 11, 2007, Weifang City police broke into practitioner Mr. Li Tianmin's home and took him into custody. At around 2:00 p.m. the same day, the officers arrived at Anqiu County Eye Hospital and took into custody Mr. Li's wife, practitioner Ms. Lou Hongmei, who was visiting her father in the hospital.
28. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Practitioner Ms. Deng Wenzhi Faces Unlawful Trial
On July 3, 2007, Ms. Teng Wenzhi, a practitioner from the Pulandian area of Dalian City, was taken into custody at the Pulandian Detention Center while distributing Falun Gong truth-clarification materials. Her case was handed over to the court and it was learned that she was soon to be put on trial. Ms. Teng's husband suffers from the final stages of terminal lung cancer. He passed out when he heard this news.
29. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioner Ms. Bi Xiangjian Taken Away from Her Home
On the morning of October 12, 2007, Ms. Bi Xiangjian, a practitioner in Changchun City, Jilin Province, was taken away from her home by the police. The officers also confiscated Falun Dafa materials. Ms. Bi is being held in the No. 4 State Security Division.
30. [Yimen County, Yunnan Province] Practitioner Ms. Xue Huili Taken into Custody
Kuan Jianjun (male), head of the 610 Office in Yimen Copper Mine, assisted Yang Jianbo (male), of the Yimen County Police Department, in taking practitioner Ms. Xue Huili into custody. Ms. Yi is being held at the Yimen County Detention Center.
31. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Follow-Up Report on Practitioner Ms. Sui Yuxia
On September 19, 2007, Ms. Sui Yuxia, a practitioner in Anhuai Village, Nanjing City, was again taken into custody. The police demanded 1,000 yuan from her husband and promised to release her on September 29. However, Ms. Sui remains in custody. Ms. Sui's family is very anxious and her husband's hair has turned gray.
32. [Chongqing] Nine Practitioners in Shapingba District Taken into Custody
On the morning of October 13, 2007, officers from the Ciqikou Police Station in Shapingba District took into custody practitioners Ms. Liu Bihua, in the Xinqiao area of Shapingba District, and Ms. Wang Shibi, in the Tianxingqiao area. The two practitioners are being held in the Baiheling Detention Center in Shapingba District. A total of nine practitioners were taken into custody during this police campaign (the accounts of the seven other practitioners were previously reported).
33. [Puyang City, Henan Province] 610 Office of Zhongyuan Oil Fields Take into Custody Four More Practitioners
Between September 15 and October 10, 2007, members of the 610 Office of Zhongyuan Oil Fields took into custody practitioners Ms. Jiang Zhaofang, Ms. Zhang Ying, the husband of Ms. Zheng Xiaoli, and a practitioner with the surname Cheng.
Ms. Zheng Xiaoli is being held at the Qingfeng County Detention Center. Mr. Li Jiangxiu and Mr. Yan Lunjun are being held at the Puyang City Detention Center. Ms. Zheng Xiaoli's husband and practitioner Cheng are being held at the detention center affiliated with the Zhengyuan Oil Fields Police Department. Ms. Jiang Zhaofang and Ms. Zhang Yuling's whereabouts are not yet known.
Practitioners Mr. Zhan Yonghai, Ms. Zhang Baoyu, Ms. Wang Ronghua, Mr. Wang Mouzheng, Mr. Li Weiping, Mr. Xin Kehua and Ms. Chen Aiyu have been released. They have been unlawfully placed under surveillance in their homes.

34. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Practitioners Mr. Hou Yujiu and His Wife Ms. Li Chunyan Taken into Custody
Ms. Li Chunyan, 37, is a former employee of a kindergarten in Xiangyang District, Hegang City. Mr. Hou Yujiu, 37, is an engineer who works in the Technical Section of Junde Mine in Hegang City. They live on the seventh floor in Unit 5, Building 57 in the hills of Junde Mine, Xing'an District, Hegang City. On October 2, 2007, Mr. Hou and Ms. Li were clarifying the truth on their way to visit their hometown when they were taken into custody. Witnesses said that the two practitioners were taken to a community in the hills of Junde Mine. Their current whereabouts are unknown.
Previously, Ms. Li Chunyan was unlawfully sentenced to four years in prison by the Xing'an Police Department in Hegang City (from 2002 to 2006). Mr. Hou was unlawfully sentenced to three years in prison.
In addition: Ms. Li Wenqing, a practitioner who was taken into custody last month, remains in custody at No. 1 Detention Center in Hegang City.
35. [Tianjin] Ms. Zhang Shuwen and Other Practitioners Taken into Custody
On the morning of October 12, 2007, Ms. Zhang Shuwen, who lives in the Erdaogou area of Dagang Oil Fields in Dagang District, Tianjin, Ms. Zhou Zhongping, and a practitioner whose name is not known, were taken into custody by officers of the Gangdong Police Station while in Ms. Zhang Shuwen's home. The officers also searched Ms. Zhang's home.
36. [Chengwu County, Shandong Province] Practitioner Song Taken into Custody
Song (gender unknown), around 60 years old, is a practitioner in Sunsi Township in Chengwu County. On or around October 8, 2007, Song was clarifying the truth and was subsequently taken into custody after the township police received reports.

37. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Additional Information on Numerous Practitioners Taken into Custody by Police
At around 6:00 p.m. on September 15, 2007, eleven practitioners from Huaihua City took a ride to Ping Village and Baozijiao Town in Huitong County to distribute truth-clarification materials. They were Mr. Zhu Zhouxiang, Ms. Wang Yuying, Ms. Yang Chunlan, Ms. Yang Yingde, Ms. Yi Huanmei, Ms. Li Huaxiu, Ms. Zhang Luying, Ms. Ai Yuhua, Ms. Nie Yuanxin (82 years old), Ms. Nie Guixiang (in her sixties), and Ms. Zuo Shuying (almost 70 years old). Huitong County police took them into custody. The practitioners were taken to the Huitong County Detention Center. Three practitioners, Ms. Yi Huanmei, Ms. Zhang Luying, and Wang Yuying, were transferred to the Jingzhou County Detention Center. Ms. Nie Yuanxin, Ms. Zuo Shuying and Ms. Nie Guixiang were released and have returned home.

38. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Practitioner Ms. Wang Xuanfang Taken into Custody at Around 9:00 a.m. on October 11, 2007
39. [Qinzhou City, Guangxi Autonomous Region] Ms. Fu Lanying and Other Practitioners Taken into Custody
Police in the Qinzhou area of Guangxi Autonomous Region are arresting practitioners. After Ms. Fu Lanying was arrested last May, she was sent to the forced labor camp. The police sent another group of practitioners to brainwashing sessions in an attempt to "transform" them. In August, the police took into custody practitioner Mr. Zhang Zheng and unlawfully searched his home. Mr. Zhang has been unlawfully sentenced to eighteen months of forced labor and was taken to Division No. 1 in Nanning Forced Labor Institute on September 29.
40. [Shanghai] Practitioner Ms. Fu Xiufen, in Her Seventies, Taken into Custody
On October 5, 2007, Ms. Fu Xiufen, in her seventies, and her husband were at their home on Huihe Road in Hongkou District, Shanghai. Officers of the Quyang Police Station in Hongkou District and officials of the local residential committee unlawfully took the couple into custody and searched their home. Ms. Fu's husband was released that night. Ms. Fu was initially held at the Hongkou District Detention Center and subsequently sent to the Qingpu Brainwashing Center in Shanghai.
