At the conference, 20 Chinese and Western Falun Gong practitioners shared their experiences of clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings. They discussed how they pass out materials in Chinatown, how they make phone calls to China to convince Chinese people to quit the party, and how they cultivate "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" and face insults with benevolence during truth-clarification. Practitioners also told stories of how they clarify the truth to friends and family members and change their misunderstandings about Falun Gong.

A Western practitioner from San Diego shared his experience of clarifying the truth to three Chinese students who stayed at his house. He had hosted three Chinese high school students this year. He asked them if they knew about Falun Gong, and found that they had been brainwashed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). He told them that he is a Falun Gong practitioner, and they became interested in learning more from him. He clarified the truth to them and changed their understanding of Falun Gong.

A Western practitioner from San Francisco shared her experience of doing exercises in Chinatown. During the last 18 months, she did the exercises in Chinatown every day. In the beginning, the environment was not good. The place was dirty and people in Chinatown were not friendly. She was not frustrated, but took every opportunity to clarify the truth to the Chinese people. Their attitude changed gradually. One day, the workers asked her what time she was coming to do the exercises, because they wanted to clean the place for her before she came. The practitioner said that it was the power of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance" that made people change their attitude.

A Chinese person asked her if she earns $50 for every Falun Gong activity she attends. She answered him seriously that all the Falun Gong practitioners attend activities voluntarily and their purpose is just to let people know the truth about Falun Gong. That Chinese person was very surprised and changed his attitude towards Falun Gong.

Master Li told practitioners in San Francisco on November 5, 2005 that clarifying the truth in Chinatown should be the focus of practitioners in the Western U.S. Later, Master Li emphasized the importance of clarifying the truth in Chinatown several times. At the conference held in New York in April 2007, Master Li emphasized it again and this woke up practitioners in San Francisco.

The coordinator for truth-clarification in San Francisco stated that more and more practitioners have enlightened that clarifying the truth in Chinatown is their responsibility, and more and more practitioners are trying their best to do it.

He said that previously, many practitioners thought that clarifying the truth in Chinatown was a task for senior practitioners or practitioners who didn't have many skills. Many practitioners didn't pay enough attention to it. Now, practitioners have put down those notions and are overcoming all kinds of difficulties to go there. Many practitioners who can speak English also go to Chinatown often now. Practitioners who live very far away also overcome the difficulties in transportation to clarify the truth in Chinatown. The environment in Chinatown has become very different now.

A seventy-year old Chinese practitioner from San Francisco shared her experiences of memorizing the Fa. It was difficult for her in the beginning. It took her nine months to memorize "Zhuan Falun" the first time. Before she finished the second time, the persecution started. She stopped memorizing and started all kinds of activities related to clarifying the truth. Later, she read fellow practitioners' experiences of memorizing the Fa on the Minghui/Clearwisdom website, and then she resumed memorizing again. Memorizing the Fa brings her peacefulness and calm. She gets up at 5:30 in the morning to memorize the Fa every day. After that, she does the exercises and sends forth righteous thoughts. Many principles which she could not understand before manifest to her clearly during memorizing the Fa. Her understanding of the Fa has improved. She hopes that other practitioners who have the capability will also memorize the Fa.

A Chinese practitioner from Sunnyvale, California, shared her personal cultivation experiences. Due to the CCP's influence, she was an atheist before. In 2004, she learned about Falun Dafa and started practicing. Before practicing Falun Gong, she thought that she was a good person, but her boss often criticized her and her co-workers were not nice to her. During cultivation, she followed the principle of "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," and dealt with her co-workers as a practitioner. Gradually, the environment at her workplace changed. Her co-workers asked her for Falun Gong materials and became nice her. When she left the company, everybody wanted her to stay.

A practitioner from San Jose stated that it is a great honor for her to cultivate during the Fa-rectification period. She shared her understanding of the relationship between work and cultivation. She had focused on Falun Dafa work and ignored her job in society. Later, through reading the Fa and improving her xinxing, she realized that this was not correct for a Falun Gong practitioner. She changed her attitude. Soon, her research group reached its highest level, and they achieved their goal in a short period of time, even though it usually takes two years. She enlightened that all her achievements were actually imparted to her by the Fa.
