(Clearwisdom.net) The revised version of the Canadian independent investigation report released on January 31, 2007, revealed an important dark scheme: the military of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been involved in the crimes of harvesting organs from living Falun Gong practitioners on a large scale.

Kilgour said at the press conference on January 11: "The involvement of the People's Liberation Army in these transplants is widespread."

Army and Civilian Hospitals Jointly Participate in Organ Transplants

Kilgour said at the press conference on January 11: "The involvement of the People's Liberation Army in these transplants is widespread."

The report provided as evidence a witness who flew to Shanghai to obtain a new kidney and was admitted to the No.1 People’s Hospital"a civilian facility. The witness revealed that during the ensuing two weeks, four kidneys were brought for testing against his blood and other factors. None proved compatible because of his anti-bodies, and all were taken away. Later, the hospital found another four kidneys. "When the eighth proved compatible, the transplant operation was successfully completed." "His eight days of convalescence was done at No. 85 hospital of the People’s Liberation Army. His surgeon was Dr. Tan Jianming of the Nanjing military region, who wore his army uniform at times in the civilian hospital."

The revised investigation report said, "Recipients often tell us that even when they receive transplants at civilian hospitals, those conducting the operation are military personnel," because they said that only military hospitals and doctors working in military hospitals could easily obtain organs.

In the report, the witness who received transplant said, "Tan carried sheets of paper containing lists of prospective ‘donors,’ based on various tissue and blood characteristics, from which he would select names. The doctor was observed at various times to leave the hospitals in uniform and return two to three hours later with containers bearing kidneys. Dr. Tan told the recipient that the eighth kidney came from an executed prisoner."

The report summarized: "The military have access to prisons and prisoners. Their operations are even more secretive than those of the civilian government. They are impervious to the rule of law."

Military hospitals obtain huge sums of money from organ transplants

The report pointed out that military hospitals operate independently from the Ministry of Health. Since 1980, the military hospitals, like many civilian hospitals, are trafficking organs to make up for the shortfall in their declining budgets.

Many of the transplant centers and general hospitals in China are military institutions. Since the persecution of Falun Gong started, the organ transplants have provided huge incomes for the military hospitals.

The report cited evidence published on the website of the Organ Transplant Center of the Armed Police General Hospital built in April 2002. The hospital boldly states, "Our Organ Transplant Center is our main department for making money. Its gross income in 2003 was 16,070,000 yuan. Between January and June 2004, our income was 13,570,000 yuan. This year (2004) there is a chance to top 30,000,000 yuan."

After the report was released, many international media have reported on this subject, such as AFP’s report on January 31 entitled, "CCP’s Military Harvesting Organs from Falun Gong Practitioners," Fox News made a report on February 1 entitled, "Study: China’s Army Harvesting Body Parts from Live Prisoners, Particularly Falun Gong Members."
