(Clearwisdom.net) On February 4, 2007, the New Tang Dynasty Television Chinese New Year Spectacular arrived at Dallas, Texas, the 10^th stop in the touring performances worldwide. More than 5,000 audience members enjoyed the traditional Chinese culture performances at the Eisemann Center on February 4-5.

The audiences highly appreciated the spectacular shows and hoped to watch the shows next year in Dallas. Government officials send letters and proclamation in congratulation of the Spectacular. Ms. Laura Miller, Mayor of the City of Dallas, and on behalf of the Dallas City Council, proclaimed February 4-February 5, 2007 as New Tang Dynasty Television’s Chinese New Year Spectacular 2007 Days in Dallas, Texas. Below is the text of the proclamation.

Proclamation

Whereas, New Tong Dynasty Television’s (NTDTV) mission as Chinese Americans is to work for a better tomorrow where more people can enjoy peace and freedom and live harmoniously among different races and beliefs; and

Whereas, The NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular promotes traditional Chinese culture in the form of arts, fosters understanding between Chinese and Western cultures and provides an exchange platform for Chinese communities worldwide and those interested in Chinese culture; and

Whereas, The NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular assists Chinese people outside of China to adapt and assimilate to mainstream society and contributes to pluralism and free flow of information in the Chinese-language media; and

Whereas, in 2006, New Tang Dynasty Television’s New Year Spectacular was performed in 17 cities worldwide, attracting over 300 artists, 1000 volunteers and live audiences totaling more than 45000; and

Whereas, 2007 NTDTV Chinese New Year Spectacular promises to be an even grander celebration, with touring performances through 26 major cities worldwide, including 16 in the United States and with Dallas, Texas selected as one of the 30 cities around the world to host the event with an expected live audience of 100000 worldwide with 6000 in Dallas alone.

Now, Therefore, I Laura Miller, Mayor of the City of Dallas, and on behalf of the Dallas City Council, do hereby proclaim February 4-February 5, 2007 as
