Investigation Leads: A Doctor Claimed to Obtain Two Kidneys from a Falun Gong Practitioner Whose Last Name Was Liu, and Other Leads (Photo)

July 2, 2007

(Clearwisdom.net) After the horrifying discovery of organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners and the immediate cremation of their bodies to destroy the evidence, which was exposed on April 4, 2006, the Falun Dafa Association and the Minghui/Clearwisdom websites founded the "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong in China" (CIPFG; also called "Coalition to Investigate the Persecution"). The CIPFG is collecting information from those willing to come forward, asking people who know the truth to further expose the crimes concerning illegal organ harvesting in China. We call on all people of conscience to lend help in exposing the facts of this vicious persecution of Falun Gong practitioners inside secret concentration camps, forced labor camps, prisons and hospitals in mainland China. The sooner this atrocity is fully exposed, the sooner this brutal persecution will end. Below is information that has recently come to light.

Investigation Lead: Chen Bingling claimed to obtain two kidneys from a Falun Gong practitioner whose last name was Liu.

In 2001, the physician-in-charge for the Internal Medicine Department of the Suihua City Hospital in Heilongjiang Province, Ms. Chen Bingling, received two kidney transplants in Qiqihar City. The kidneys are said to have come from a Falun Gong practitioner whose last name is Liu (the first name is unknown).

At a wedding ceremony before May 1, 2006, Chen Bingling claimed that she had a kidney transplant operation in Qiqihar City. The surgeon's last name was Chen. The surgeon's teacher lived in Jiamusi City. At that time, most of the female Falun Gong practitioners who were illegally sentenced to forced labor camps were jailed in the Wanjia Women's Labor Camp (Harbin City) or the Shuanghe Women's Labor Camp (Qiqihar City).

We ask that whoever knows the facts, to please provide the details.

Investigation Lead: Kidney transplant advertisement in Beijing Hospital of Health Department

In the outpatient waiting hall of Beijing Hospital of Health Department, a kidney transplant advertisement was posted.

The technical leader for the kidney transplant team is the vice president of the hospital, Wang Jianye. Team leaders are the director of the kidney section of the Internal Medicine Department, Wu Hua, and the director of the Urology Surgical Department, Wan Ben. The team members are Dr. Mao Yonghui and Tang Tianqing from the kidney section of the Internal Medicine Department, and Dr. Zhang Liqing, Wei Dong, and Zhang Yaoguang from the Urology Surgical Department.

Investigation Lead: Six hospitals in Jiangsu Province continuously perform organ transplant operations, however the sources of the organs are still unknown

According to Yangzhou News (reporter Zhao Qin), on June 7, the Provincial Health Department announced the hospitals permitted by China's Health Department to perform organ transplant operations.

The first six hospitals which passed the "examination" of China's Health Department in Jiangsu Province are: Jiangsu Province People's Hospital (liver, kidney, and heart transplants), First Hospital of Suzhou University (kidney transplants), Nanjing City Gulou Hospital (liver transplants), Changzhou City First People's Hospital (kidney transplants), Wuxi City Fifth People's Hospital (lung transplants), and Nanjing Military Area Nanjing Main Hospital (kidney transplants).

In addition, three hospitals are appointed by China's Health Department to develop organ transplant technology: Nanjing City Gulou Hospital (kidney transplants), Nanjing City First Hospital (heart transplants), and 81st Hospital of People's Liberation Army (liver transplants). The reporter could not find Yangzhou Hospital on the list.

Among 600 organ transplant institutions, about 160 were ranked as "good quality." However, the report did not mention the source of the donor organs.

Investigation Lead: Yantai City's Wanhua Hospital performed more than 200 kidney transplants

Wanhua hospital is a very small hospital. However, the specialty of the hospital is in its urology surgical department. In recent years, in the introduction to the hospital, it was stated that "more than 200 uremia patients have successfully received kidney transplants."

Guo Tongben, marketing president and director of the surgical department, is the main person to perform transplants

We should pay particular attention to a fact. In 2005, the hospital had an advertisement about their "first kidney transplant between mother and daughter." Therefore, organ transplants between close relatives represent very unusual cases, in this case publicized with a special report. Then, where did the organs come from for the rest of the transplants?
