My Experience of "Once Your Thought Is Righteous, Evil Will Collapse"

July 29, 2007

(Clearwisdom.net) I experienced a situation at the end of last year which made me gain a deeper experience of the Fa principle from Hong Yin II (English version B): "Once Your Thought Is Righteous, Evil Will Collapse" ("What's There to Fear?")

My son moved to a different city to work. He was away from the cultivation environment that he used to have and he wasn't able to conduct himself as a Dafa practitioner strictly, so his cultivation state became worse and worse. Finally, he was illegally arrested, his home was searched and his computer was confiscated.

Two days later I got the news. My first thought was not to look for loopholes he might have, as I did before, but instead to focus on finding ways to save him. My husband was angry and worried, and could barely endure this most recent assault of the persecution. The first thing I did was to put the news of my son's arrest on the Internet and expose the evil. Then I sat down to send righteous thoughts and clear out any interference from myself and the family. Later, I comforted my husband, and also cleared out any unrighteous factors behind him. Then, I sent out a strong righteous thought: disintegrate any factors persecuting my son, and deny the arrangement of the old forces completely. I requested Teacher to strengthen my son's righteous thoughts. Even if he had omissions, the evil should not be allowed to persecute him. We should just walk the path that Teacher arranged. I sent forth righteous thoughts for 40 minutes, and I could feel a strong field around my body, filling me with energy. After that, I made sure I sent forth righteous thoughts every hour on the hour.

After three hours, the local police called me and asked us to pick up my son. They allowed only his father to go, they wouldn't allow me. But when I told his father that our son was fine now and asked him to pick him up, he jumped up angrily and refused to go. His behavior reminded me that I cannot acknowledge the arrangements of the evil old forces. Teacher said, "Gods can control the human mind and lead humans to do certain things, not vice versa. How could human beings possibly affect gods?" ("Teaching the Fa in Canada, 2006")So I sat down and sent righteous thoughts asking Teacher to support us and make them release my son unconditionally. After a while, the police called back but they said they couldn't hear me clearly over the phone. However, I could hear them clearly. So they hung up, while I continued to send righteous thoughts. After awhile, my son called me and said he had been released unconditionally. Later, we asked the police to return my son's computer, which they did. They also returned the deposit to us.

From this situation I witnessed the inner meaning of the Fa principles mentioned in Hong Yin II (English translation version B): "Once your thought is righteous, evil will collapse" ("What's There to Fear?"), and, "Disciples' righteous thoughts are strong, Master has the power to turn the tide." ("Master-Disciple Grace")

Before, no matter who was arrested, my first thought was to look for any omissions on the part of those arrested. Now I've broken through this concept that we are suffering amid persecution; our first thought should be to deny the evil completely and disintegrate it quickly, because our mission is to save sentient beings and assist Teacher in the Fa-rectification. Teacher wants us to assimilate to the Fa, to be rectified by the Fa and to reach consummation in doing the Three Things. Teacher does not want us to cultivate within the context of the persecution.

If we don't stand from the basis of Fa-rectification and deny the persecution, and only see things from the standpoint of personal cultivation amidst persecution, it accords with the wishes of the old forces, as the old forces see personal cultivation as most important. It will also make our righteous thoughts insufficient and less effective in eliminating the evil. Many times we did not rescue fellow practitioners successfully. Could it be because both the rescuer and the arrested practitioners had this omission? Maybe this is one of the reasons.
