A Dafa Practitioner Arrested in Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, Whereabouts Unknown

Ms. Yang Congmei is a Falun Dafa practitioner from Xindu District of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. On April 4, 2007, at about 10 a.m., more than ten police officers from Xindu, Sanhechang, the Fifth Group of Hetun and Xinmin Town, Xindu District arrested her from her beauty shop and ransacked her home. At present, her whereabouts are unknown.

On May 8, police officers from Xindu Security Bureau and Sanhe Police Station separately interrogated Ms. Yang's parents.

Yang Congqing, Yang Congmei's sister, was also arrested for passing out truth-clarifying materials on June 29, 2005. She was detained in the Damaqiao Police Station of Xindu District. She was later sentenced to three years in Yangmahe Women's Prison in Jiangyang for further persecution.
