(Clearwisdom.net) On June 30, 2007, Falun Gong practitioners from Tainan who were violently deported by the Hong Kong government on June 27 and 28 went to the local office of Legislative Member Li Junyi in Tainan County and told him the details of the deportation. Mr. Li said that he will request the Department of Foreign Affairs to lodge a protest with the Hong Kong government and ask the Hong Kong government to apologize to Falun Gong practitioners.

Lin Kunhsiu, one of the practitioners who was deported, said, "Our purpose for going to Hong Kong was to call upon more people to help stop the persecution of Falun Gong and expose the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) brutality. Was it really necessary for the Hong Kong government to violently deal with peaceful Falun Gong practitioners with more than a hundred policemen?"

Li Junyi stated that the Hong Kong government should apologize to Falun Gong practitioners and promise it won't happen again. Li Junyi said the Taiwanese government should protect Falun Gong practitioners, because they are Taiwanese citizens.
