I Found My Shortcomings After My Article Wasn't Posted

Sept. 22, 2007 |   By a practitioner from mainland China

(Clearwisdom.net) A few days ago, I read some articles on the issue of ending the persecution, and I also wrote down my opinion and sent it to the Minghui website. I waited in anticipation for a long time without seeing my article posted. I felt a little unhappy about it and bad thoughts kept emerging. When I saw Teacher's photo, I found that Teacher's face looked stern, which jolted me. I quickly stopped my wild thoughts and looked inward to find my shortcomings. I found the following points.

1. I wrote my article on ending the persecution on the basis of validating myself, instead of validating the Fa. I did not realize it at the time, and this was potentially a big attachment.

2. The Minghui website is quite mature now, and Teacher also reads it. As Dafa disciples, we should harmonize with the Minghui website. However, I was just waiting for my article to be posted after I sent it out and began to complain after a few days, without thinking about my attachments.

3. I only thought about what we could do to end the persecution and forgot what ending the persecution means in terms of the Fa. It is Teacher who is rectifying the Fa, and we are validating the Fa.

4. I had a thought in mind that I had helped dozens of people quit the CCP, and if everyone did the same, we would have completed Teacher's assignment. I was complacent and had an attachment of not being diligent.

5. I was too attached to "ending the persecution" and just wanted the suffering to end. I did not realize that Dafa will consummate everything in the universe, including our mission of saving sentient beings on a massive scale, as a part of ending the persecution. In addition, I had the attachment of having everyday people witness us ending the persecution since I looked down at them a little. I did not bear in mind that our only mission is to save sentient beings.

6. We should write articles and send them to Minghui for the sake of others, rather than for the purpose of getting something published, or having personal opinions posted and feeling the pleasure of validating oneself. We must consider our readers and the overall effect of experience sharing, clarifying the truth, and frightening the evil.
