In China, Officials Meet Untimely Deaths after Persecuting Falun Gong

Jan. 23, 2008

(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance." The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

A Policeman Bled to Death after Persecuting Practitioners

Li Yaomin, a policeman at the Public Security Division of a state-run factory in Fuping County, Shanxi Province, had been very active in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. At the beginning of 2007, he illegally arrested a practitioner. One August night, the sky thundered for over an hour. A thunderbolt hit a giant tree in front of his home and split it in two. Li Yaomin didn't see this as a warning from heaven for his wrongdoing, because the next month he put up a sign slandering Falun Gong in front of the factory dormitory. In the middle of the night on October 3, Li Yaomin died suddenly with blood coming out of his eyes, ears, nose and mouth.

In addition, Deputy Secretary Li of the Chinese Communist Party Branch at the factory and the Chairman of the Labor Union ordered the arrest of practitioners and put up signs containing hate propaganda against Falun Gong. The night before the 2007 Chinese New Year, he suddenly coughed up blood and was sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. In September 2007, after ordering another hateful sign to be put up, Li started to cough up blood again and was sent to Xi'an for emergency treatment. It is not known whether he is still alive.
