Jan. 31, 2008 |   By Minghui/Clearwisdom correspondent Cai Ju from New York City

(Clearwisdom.net) Divine Performing Arts' 11-day, 15-show Chinese New Year Splendor opened at Radio City Music Hall on January 30, 2008 to a warm reception. The magnificent and vivid backdrop, exquisite and graceful dancing, and the singers' powerful and moving voices brought to life the rich meaning of traditional Chinese culture. Audience members say that it touched their hearts and spirits.

Ms. Zhou and her family who immigrated to Manhattan from Guangzhou, China, attended the show. Ms. Zhou was very excited, saying: "It's excellent! It's excellent! This is truly artistic, it's supreme! We felt as if we had blended into the show. I really experienced the wonders of Chinese art. It was delivered in such a seamless and elegant manner. We are so touched by the fact that we Chinese are given a voice on an American stage. My son is really impressed, too. To be able to witness such extraordinary artistic achievement of Chinese art is beyond words."

Ms. Chen Huiling and her friends from Taiwan who now live in Flushing, New York, said, "The performers carried the flavor and daintiness of ancient Chinese culture. The backdrop is amazing, and the dancers are masters of their craft! Seriously! The girls have the perfect height and figure, and the boys all look so full of spirit!" One of her friends, Mr. Fang, watches the show almost every year, and he said, "This year, [the show] is different from the past. It's superb! It's fabulous! The backdrop is unique and the programs are of a rich variety, spanning a broad spectrum. The technical success both on and off the stage reflects a high degree of discipline. Thank you, thank you!"

Ms. Huang from Long Island brought her 90-year-old mother to the Splendor. She loved the show and said her favorite was "The Loyalty of Yue Fei," because it educates the public on the traditional beliefs of Chinese culture.

A Chinese man from Brooklyn, New York, who originally came from mainland China expressed his heartfelt admiration, "It's exceptional! At first, I thought it was like any other show, but after I've seen it, I can see that it really is world-class, first-class!" His friends expressed similar sentiments.

The Splendor opened to tremendous success. Many Chinese audience members praised the show as a marvelous performance and among the best in the world.

There will be 14 more shows in the next 10 days at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City. For more details, please visit www.chinesesplendor.com or call 212-695-7469.
