Poet: Pure Land in My Heart (Photo)

(Clearwisdom.net) The 2008 Divine Performing Arts Mid-autumn Spectacular held in Toronto displayed the divinely-imparted culture of China's 5000-year history with its unique style. Ms. Sheng Xue, a renowned poet from Canada, has been to each annual Spectacular since its inception.

"I have been to the Spectacular show since the beginning. The show has a beautiful impact and purifies my heart in rich, diverse and colorful ways," said Ms. Sheng.

"I sat in the first row and could see clearly the performers' every single move and facial expression. The clouds on the background projection in the first program seemed to surround me and make me part of the play. I felt like I was in the heavens."

"The women dance so beautifully, especially the crisp fan dance and the subtle moves of 'Water Sleeves.' The clever, graceful movements in 'Nymphs of the Sea' brought me to another dimension."

"I started writing poems in the 70s because I felt suppressed in China and hopeless about the corruption. I couldn't find my way out and turned to poetry. After I came overseas, my life became more busy and chaotic. I continued writing poems because I wanted to get away from reality and find room to rest my mind. Unfortunately I couldn't get away from the Communist Party culture even after leaving China. The Communist Party exports its ideology and culture to every corner of the world and people, especially the Chinese, are deeply victimized."

"I have been watching the NTDTV's Spectacular shows since the very beginning. I was amazed that so many people contribute their time and effort selflessly to create such pure and beautiful work. They give mankind such a pure and just cultural environment, and give the people an opportunity to understand and experience traditional Chinese culture, including various folk culture and customs. My heart is nourished and I truly thank the artists."

"When I see the pure, righteous and joyful dances, I feel that human society is supposed to be like this. Now, a depicted in "The Risen Lotus Flower," a large group of benevolent people in China are currently under persecution. These people have sacrificed their safety and even lives to tell the world what has really happened to them. They hold on to the principle of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and persevere to tell people about Falun Gong. How can people ignore this kind of devotion and sacrifice?"
