(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

It is well known that those who do bad deeds will meet with bad returns and those that those who do good deeds will have a prosperous future.

In recent years from time to time, there is news about the unnatural deaths of policemen and staff members of the 610 Office, jails, detention centers, and forced labor camps. In order to deceive people and to force other Party and government officials, policemen, and people that don't know the truth to continue working for them, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) tightly restricts the news when these people die or become paralyzed. The CCP either promotes them as "martyrs" or "models to be emulated" or classifies their deaths or conditions as "secret" and forbid anyone from discussing it.

Below are some examples of people who have persecuted Falun Gong in Jilin Province and received retribution. We hope those people who are still persecuting Falun Gong can wake up and take it as a warning. We hope that they can face their dangerous situation, make the right choice on the Falun Gong issue, don't work themselves to death for the CCP anymore, stop participating in the persecution, and become responsible for their future and their families' future.

• Assistant Commissioner of the Police Department of Jilin Province Xu Yuqing actively persecuted Falun Gong and was consequently promoted to assistant commissioner. Within a year, when Xu got out of his car for some business, he was knocked down by passing vehicles and died.

• Assistant Commissioner of the Police Department of Changchun City Qu Wanchen persecuted Falun Gong. He developed throat cancer and also femoral bone illness in 2004.

• Wang Liwen, squadron commander of the National Security Brigade Team of Changchun City, which is under the control of the 610 Office of Changchun City, started to persecute countless practitioners beginning in 2003. They asked him to stop, leave his position, and not participate in the persecution anymore. Wang Liwen said, "Since I have taken this job, it is hard for me to quit--I have no alternative. To support my mother, my child, and my wife, I cannot leave this job yet, but I will after I finish the case of Yu Cuilan." Wang didn't listen to the kind advice. He arrested and persecuted practitioner Yu Cuilan in May 2006. Shortly after, Wang Liwen suddenly died on a tourist trip.

• The head of the First Section of Changchun City Police Department persecuted many practitioners to death or crippled them. In May 2002, four policemen were sent to Dehui City to monitor, assist, and allocate tasks in the persecution of Falun Gong. On their way, they were in a car accident. Two policemen died and the other two were severely injured. This incident shocked the Dehui City police system, and everyone said, "They really received retribution this time."

• Wu Zhiqiang, the head of the Electronic Communication Section of the Police Department, monitored and arrested practitioners who went on-line and caused many practitioners to be arrested. This evil policeman was dismissed from his position for sexual misconduct, dereliction of duty, accepting bribes, etc.

• Ge Ming, the former political instructor of Nongda Police Station of the Jingyue Police Department, has been involved in over 96 cases to persecute practitioners. He always said he was "healthy" and "young," but 40-year-old Ge unexpectedly had a cerebral hemorrhage, was hospitalized for over four months, and has been in a coma ever since.

• Sun Lidong, born in November 1952, and his subordinates arrested nearly 100 practitioners. He lost consciousness many times on his way to make the arrests, but after he was taken to the hospital and given an injection, he continued doing bad things. He directed the beating of practitioner Liu Haibo to death. He was awarded "Class Three Merit" and "Hero and Model of the Police Ministry." In 2004, he died suddenly, in his office, and his subordinates all said he had received retribution for arresting Dafa practitioners.

• Yi Fangmin, the sheriff of Mengjiaqiao Police Station in the Kuanchen District, arrested dozens of practitioners. He continued doing bad things and even arrested two practitioners the day before he was hospitalized for late stage liver cancer. Yin Famin died a month later.

• Tian Zhonglin, head of the Police Department of Changchun City, is one of the supervisors in the 610 Office whose hands are stained with practitioners' blood. He arrested and detained several hundred practitioners. Tian Zhonglin could not lift his right arm and had unbearable pains. His two brothers were killed by cars, his wife had throat cancer, and his parents both died within one year. The officers in the police department all said he received retribution.

• Zhang Li from Qinghe Police Station in the Chaoyang District, 38 years old, arrested one practitioner and said, "I don't believe that arresting her will cause my death." Several days later, he suddenly had a cerebral hemorrhage and died.

• Song Dahua, 48, a policeman from the legal system section at the Changchun Police Department, was responsible for examining practitioners and sentencing them to forced labor. He developed serious problems with his heart, liver, and lungs and lived a tortured existence for several months before he died in April 2001. He woke up before he died and told people who went to visit him, "I may be receiving retribution for sentencing Falun Gong practitioners to forced labor."

• One policeman from Changchun Police Department, Jiang Lirong, was a willing accomplice of Jiang's regime and his hands were stained with practitioners' blood. In early March 2005, as Jiang sat in a car, he said he had a stomachache and suddenly died. He was only in his 40's.

• Zhao Ruxian, a policeman from the legal system section of the Police Department of Kuancheng District, was responsible for sentencing many practitioners to forced labor. In December 2003, Zhao died suddenly on a bus due to heart disease.

• Chen Yantao, 39, an officer from the Tongyang Police Station in the Shuangyang District, often went to practitioners' homes to harass and intimidate them. On March 8, 2004, he forcibly detained one disabled female practitioner who used a wheelchair. That same evening Chen Yantao suddenly died due to a heart attack when he was drinking alcohol.

The time when good will be rewarded with good and evil with evil will come--it is just a matter of time. Those who persecute others will not be able to escape justice. There are 35 lawyers in different countries representing persecuted Falun Gong practitioners. The lawyers have filed 61 lawsuits against Jiang Zemin's regime and the CCP in 29 countries and regions on charges of genocide, torture, and crimes against humanity.
