(Clearwisdom.net) Mr. Ma Zhixin from Beiyuanzhuang Village, Zhaoge Town (formerly Danshan Town), Anqiu City, Shandong Province, previously served both as the deputy chief of Danshan Town Farm Tool Repair Factory and also as the head of the business section. He and his wife, Zhang Zhenfang, started practicing Falun Gong in 1998, and they both derived great physical and mental benefits.

After Ms. Zhang Zhenfang returned home from prison in 2005, she had to endure constant harassment at the hands of Party personnel. In July 2007, Ma Zhixin became extremely weak as a result of being brutally mistreated, and his health condition was critical. His wife and elderly mother had to care for him day and night. He even had to be supported to sit up to relieve himself. No one in the family was able to work in the fields and they lived a hand-to-mouth existence.

On July 9, 2008, the officials in Anqiu City illegally arrested more than twenty Falun Gong practitioners, including Ms. Zhang, using the excuse of "maintaining security for the Olympic Games." Mr. Ma, who was totally dependent on his wife's nursing care, suffered an extreme shock and was mentally tormented. His condition quickly deteriorated and he passed away on August 21, 2008. He was only 49 years old.

Cheng Shuping, male, born in 1963, is the deputy political commissar of the Anqiu Police Department. When he mistreated practitioners who had been to Beijing to appeal, he used to shout: "Jiang Zemin may be incompetent, but I'm not.
