Dafa Practitioners Forced to Perform Slave Labor in Beijing Women's Prison

Oct. 24, 2008

(Clearwisdom.net) In the Daxing Women's Prison in Beijing over the past few years, prison police have utilized all forms of brutal, inhumane methods to "transform" Falun Gong practitioners. They have coerced practitioners into performing harsh slave labor to reap higher profits from their products.

In the section dedicated to persecuting Falun Gong practitioners, the authorities have forced practitioners to knit clothing and make bags, pencil cases, table cloths, flip-flops and socks. Many times practitioners' hands bled from the labor or they suffered from deteriorating eyesight.

Practitioners have also been forced to manufacture products using toxic glue to seal boxes, and many practitioners developed dizziness very soon after doing such work. Some even faint in the middle of work. Nonetheless, the guards don't care about practitioners' health. The moment the practitioner regains consciousness, they are forced to continue working with the toxic materials. The guards have also forced practitioners to pack disposable chopsticks under filthy conditions.

Practitioners were forced to pack stuffed toys with Styrofoam and bubbles to be exported overseas. Even with chemical dust and particles in the air, practitioners were not given masks. Many developed coughs and even severe lung problems from inhaling these particles.

As the Olympics approached, the guards made practitioners put stamps onto Olympics postcards. If practitioners didn't meet the productivity requirements, they were forced to work overnight or subjected to physical abuse.

Due to the profit-driven work assigned by the authorities, many practitioners suffered significant deterioration in many aspects of their health, both physically and psychologically.

Here, we call upon everyone to condemn and put a stop to the persecution of Falun Gong by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), so that the innocent, kind Falun Gong practitioners who have been illegally imprisoned can regain their freedom and return home.
