(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Wang Yanhong was from Jieguan Township in Anlu City in Hubei Province. She was beaten to death in the First Detention Center in Guangshui for practicing Falun Gong. She was 46. Those around her lost a good family member, a guardian who upheld justice and kindness, and an ambassador who spread the blessings of Dafa.
Yanhong started to practice Falun Gong at the beginning of 1999. She spread the Fa to people in nearby towns and villages and brought the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa to her fellow countrymen. Some people recovered from chronic diseases, while others improved their bad tempers. Some came to know the true meaning of life. Yanhong, herself, underwent a huge change as well. She had loved playing Mahjong and was very hot tempered. But after becoming a practitioner she became a good and kind person that everyone loved.
After the persecution began on July 20, 1999, Yanhong was inhumanely persecuted. Local police officers often harassed her. She was sentenced to forced labor and was persecuted physically and financially. The CCP also viciously damaged her reputation. But all this couldn't shake her belief. In order to let people know the facts about Falun Dafa, she often traveled on narrow country roads and went across mountains by bicycle, distributing materials and telling people face to face about Falun Gong and the persecution. Many people learned how the CCP has poisoned the Chinese people, and they quit the CCP. They also understood the wonderfulness of Falun Dafa.
Yanhong visited many towns and villages in Anlu and Guangshui. This really upset the CCP officials. Some swore at her, others reported her to their superiors, while still others tried to arrest her. Yanhong was illegally detained several times as a result. Bearing in mind her mission to save sentient beings, she kept telling inmates the facts about Falun Gong when she was in jail. Wherever she went, she brought the wonderfulness of Dafa to people everywhere.
She often said that, despite the terrible circumstances, Dafa disciples in the Fa-rectification period should handle everything with righteous thoughts. In the face of threats and tribulations, she never wavered in her belief in Master and in Dafa. She pledged that she would save her local countrymen with compassion.
On September 4, 2008, officers from the 610 Office in Guangshui City, police from the Domestic Security Divisions in both Guangshui and Anlu and officers from the Jieguan Police Station conspired to arrest Yanhong and another practitioner. Yanhong shouted, "Falun Dafa is good! Falun Dafa is good!" In the detention center, she went on a hunger strike to protest the persecution. She was severely beaten. She was tortured to death on September 24. Her body was quickly cremated.
The personnel involved in persecution included Zhang Huazhou, the director of the Domestic Security Division; Fang Hong, the deputy director of the Domestic Security Division; Liu Xuejian; and Zhang Xinzhou.
