We Must Set Our Minds Straight

Oct. 5, 2008 |   By a practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) I used to live alone, and now I don't have a home. To avoid arrest, I drift around, homeless, and sometimes feel quite sad inside. Digging deeper, I find that I'm still attached to worldly gain and loss, pursuing a so-called happy life in this human dimension. Why should I be afraid of drifting around? Isn't it that wherever I go, it is for the hope of my sentient beings? After enlightening to this, I feel more broad-minded. If we always put sentient beings first, and turn disadvantages into advantages, there will be no such thing as personal tribulation or pain, because then we won't have our selfish thoughts.

There was an article on the Clearwisdom/Minghui website which was about a Dafa disciple who was interrogated by the police. He thought to himself: "The more police who show up before the court, the better, because I can save more sentient beings." With openness and dignity, he clarified the facts about the persecution, and how people have started to quit the evil party. The judge laughed when hearing about the party's absurd behavior. At last, the practitioner was released unconditionally. He didn't even think of his personal safety or the pain he was suffering. All he was thinking about was saving sentient beings and validating the Fa.

In "Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference," Master said:

"That looks like human conduct, but in fact it's not. That was because she reached that point through cultivation and truly arrived at that realm--"Now that you've arrested me, I haven't thought at all about going back. Now that I've come here, I've come to validate the Fa.""

If we always set our minds straight, put our sentient beings first, and have no selfish thoughts, we will thoroughly break out of the shackles of the old universe, and become great enlightened beings of the Fa. The evil will perish, the persecution will end, and more sentient beings will be saved.
