(Clearwisdom.net) One day as I was walking down the street, I came across one of my colleagues. She said, "You look much older than before." As soon as I got home, I looked at myself in a mirror. Indeed, I looked old, had gray hair, a wrinkled face, a pot belly, and a big waist. I was 150 cm (4ft. 11in.) tall but weighed 70 kilograms (154 lb.). I was getting old before my time.

Recently, I started memorizing the Fa. While I was reciting, I suddenly realized that Dafa is a cultivation of mind and body, and my aged appearance did not meet the requirement of Dafa cultivation. After studying the Fa, I realized that I had not only agreed with the old force's arrangement, but also strengthened its energy and humanly fostered the evil demons.

I became homeless and lost all contact with other practitioners when I tried to escape being persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in 2001. Even though I was lacking truth clarification materials, I have been explaining the facts about Falun Dafa face-to-face and have saved sentient beings. I often encountered those who did not want to listen or even berated me. Some said, "Because you are old, I will not send you to jail." Others said, "You are against the Party. I haven't reported you to the police only for the sake of your old age." Others said, "Don't tell me that. Persons your age would be better off doing exercises in the park." Gradually I formed a human notion that old age would help me to avoid danger when I clarified the facts. Therefore, each time I went out, I put on clothes that made me look older. Although I was in my 60s, I looked like I was in my 70s. My thinking that old age could help me to stay out of danger while clarifying the facts contained many human notions and attachments. I wanted to get people's sympathy and obtain kindness from the evil. Dafa practitioners are the sole source of saving everyday people. People in the world all depend on Dafa disciples for their salvation. How could I put this upside down by relying on everyday people? When I recalled my experiences during these years, every time I was in danger, it was our benevolent Teacher who had protected me from evil people reporting me, from being arrested, and from being chased by police cars.
I did improve. Now before I go out to clarify the facts, I dress up in appropriate clothes and fix my hair nicely. I look much younger than before. The students from junior and senior high schools now call me "Aunt" instead of "Grandma." At the same time, I added one sentence when sending forth righteous thoughts, "Thoroughly disintegrate the evil elements the make me old and totally repudiate the old force's arrangement. Let my body gradually return to youth, reduce my wrinkles, darken my hair, and eliminate all the evil elements in my body."

Fellow practitioners, let's treasure the glory Teacher is granting us. Strive forward with every effort, and do the three things well in this concluding period of time. We cannot neglect our appearance. We need to manifest Falun Dafa practitioners' compassion and kindness, appropriate appearance, and brilliant outlook from the microscopic to the surface.
