Nov. 10

Eight Falun Gong practitioners from Jiaohe City were given prison sentences after being detained without legal procedures for over half a year. On September 24 and October 12, 2008, they were sent to Gongzhuling Prison in Siping City and Heizuizi Women's Prison in Changchun City.

Nov. 11

During the Beijing Olympic Games, CCP authorities in Zhangjiakou City set up brainwashing centers in a Forced Labor Camp. They arrested more than seventy Falun Gong practitioners throughout the city.

Nov. 12

In another example of Chinese justice, three women are tried twice and, because of obviously forged evidence exposed by their defense attorney, they are not sentenced. They are not released but are given a third trial in which they are not allowed to testify nor to have an attorney. At this trial they received 3 to 6 year sentences. They have not been allowed to see their families throughout this process.

Nov. 14

The creation of a labor camp in November 2007 especially focused on Falun Gong practitioners followed by it's intensive use during the Olympics shows that the persecution of Falun Gong is an ongoing policy in China.

After their arrest in August 2008, Ms. Zhang Chenglan is still detained and most of their confiscated property has not been returned.

Nov. 15

A review of conditions at this camp including the experiences of several recent prisoners. Unpaid forced labor is exploited for profit on exported goods.

Nov. 16

Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Dong Fengshan was arrested on Oct. 13, 2008. Without notifying his family, the CCP court secretly sentenced him nine years in prison. He died after only six days in Siping Prison.
