Ms. Pan Jing Has Been Cruelly and Repeatedly Persecuted by the Communist Regime

Nov. 21, 2008 |   By a practitioner in Liaoning Province

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Pan Jing is a Falun Gong practitioner from Dandong City, Liaoning Province. Since July 1999, she has been persecuted by Chinese Communist Party (CCP) personnel many times because she will not give up her practice of Falun Gong. She has been illegally arrested, incarcerated, and sentenced to imprisonment. When she was imprisoned, she refused to be "transformed" and was consequently subjected to force-feeding. Her esophagus was injured and she bled profusely during the force- feeding. The prison personnel kept her in handcuffs and shackles and repeatedly shocked her with electric batons. They also hung her from the ceiling. As a result of being subjected to these tortures, her legs swelled and she could no longer even take care of her own daily needs.

In 1999, Ms. Pan went to Beijing to appeal for Falun Gong because she felt that Falun Gong was being slandered and unjustly treated. She was arrested and sent back to Dandong City. At the end of that year, she participated in a large group exercise event and was arrested again. Officers from the Linjiang Police Station in Dandong City deceived her family members, who then agreed to send her to a mental hospital. The doctors at the No. 3 Hospital of Dandong City forcefully administered unknown drugs to her. Pan Jing could not tolerate the inhumane torture and went on hunger strike to protest the mistreatment. During this time, she was brutally force-fed and this caused her esophagus to bleed. As a result she was released.

In April 2000, Pan Jing was taken away from her residence by Yu Deqing and several other officers from the No. 1 Police Station of Dandong City. They blindfolded her and took her to an unknown location to be interrogated. They handcuffed her and put shackles on her ankles. She was only allowed to stand with her back bent over and she was not allowed to sleep. This torture went on for seven days. As a result she suffered from hypertension and lost consciousness. Despite her fragile physical condition, she was nevertheless sent to the detention center.

On September 2002, Ms. Pan was again arrested by Yu Deqing and sentenced to three years of forced labor. During three years of forced labor at Masanjia, she was very severely tortured. She refused to be "transformed" and was therefore tortured by the guards. They made her stand for extended periods of time. They made her squat down or hung her up from the ceiling. They also shocked her with electric batons. During the winter they deprived her of warm clothing. They hit her on the head with a wooden board. When her head started to bleed, they poured cold water over her. During these forced "transformation" attempts, they tied her legs tightly together for more than a day at a time, causing severe injury to her legs. All the cruel tortures caused both her legs and feet to swell, and she lost feeling in both of her arms. She could no longer take care of her own daily needs. For a long time the guards did not allow her family to see her.

In October 2005, Cheng Xianchun and other officers from the No. 2 Street Police Station of Dandong City and tailed Ms. Pan's husband on his way home. They then barged into their residence and once again illegally arrested Pan Jing.

She was brutally force-fed by the prison doctor, Cui Rui, and many guards participated in this torture. Later, she was once again sent to Masanjia Forced Labor Camp. In Masanjia, she was strapped down to a bed specially designed to be used to torture Falun Gong practitioners. Her arms and legs were tied to the bed and she was not allowed to go to the bathroom. She finally passed out and soiled the bed. Then the guards used a metal device to pry her mouth open. They fastened this device to her head with elastic bands. Her mouth was kept pried open like this for one or two hours. She could not move at all or close her mouth. The guards then poured different liquids down her throat: salty water, sugar water, hot pepper juice, and quantities of unknown drugs. They tortured her until her kidneys and heart were gravely weakened, and then they finally released her.

In January 2007, Ms. Pan Jing was arrested again by Officer Sun from Yongchang Police Station. But she was released because they did not have sufficient evidence against her.
