(Clearwisdom.net) The 610 Office in Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province uses brainwashing facilities as a means to persecute Falun Dafa practitioners. The following are several accounts of persecution.

In early April 2001, agents from the 610 Office in Wuchang City, Heilongjiang Province deceived rural officials into helping them round up local practitioners. The agents said it was only a two-day inspection routine for the higher authorities and that the practitioners may ask for leave any time while they were there. During two midnight operations, around 50 practitioners from the Xingsheng Township and the Niujia Township were brought to a brainwashing camp located at a Communist Party School in Wuchang City.

Once they were locked up in the brainwashing facility, the practitioners lost their freedom. The armed officers followed the practitioners everywhere, including to the bathroom. The practitioners were forced to listen to CCP propaganda daily. This took place during the busy harvesting season, when the practitioners needed to tend to their fields. When they asked to be released according to the 610 agents' promise of release after two days, they were told, "Who gave that promise? If you don't comply, we will send you to prison."

In the fall of 2002, the 610 Office opened another brainwashing facility on the second floor of the Auditing Bureau. The windows were welded shut with metal rails. A metal gate in the corridor blocked the stair entrance. There was a sign hung on the gate calling the facility a legal education school.

Officer Zhu Xianfu orchestrated a plan where Mo Zhengshan called to pressure every township to arrest practitioners. Fu Yanchun and Jin Ji participated in the brainwashing activities. Xiao Shizi went to every township to extort money. Sometimes, they all went out to arrest practitioners, and in some cases, even the practitioners' neighbors were arrested.

Practitioners were confined in the brainwashing facility for 1-8 months. They were cut off from any outside contacts. They were beaten and forced to listen to CCP propaganda daily.

Fu Yanchun frequently beat and verbally abused practitioners at will, and she maltreated the practitioners by forcing them to squat or stand for long periods of time. She became more malicious when she was drunk. She used handcuffs and electric batons to coerce the practitioners to renounce their practice.

After all of this, the practitioners were forced to pay 2,000 yuan or more in extortion, and they were forced to write the three statements to give up Falun Gong before their release.
