(Clearwisdom.net) On November 3, 2008, Chen Yunlin, President of the China-based Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS), arrived in Taiwan. The Taiwan-based Straits Exchange Foundation (SEF) set up a reception banquet in the Taipei 101 Building. Afterwards, as Chen stepped outside the 101 Building, over 200 Falun Gong practitioners called out, "Falun Dafa is good!" and "Stop persecuting Falun Gong!"

Practitioners called out "Falun Dafa is good!" and "Stop persecuting Falun Gong!" in front of the Grand Hotel as Chen Yunlin was about to hold a press conference.

Practitioners did the exercises outside the Palace Museum on November 3, 2008.

Practitioners held banners proclaiming, "The World Needs Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance," at places where Chen Yunlin could possibly have shown up.

Chen and the ARATS delegate, accompanied by SEF president Chiang Pin-Kun, arrived at Taipei 101 Building at 5:00 p.m. Two to three hundred Falun Gong practitioners gathered in Xinyi Square next to the 101 Building doing the exercises. Surrounding them were banners proclaiming, "The World Needs Truth-Compassion-Forbearance," "Falun Dafa iI Good," "Falun Dafa" and many displays with pictures exposing how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) brutally persecutes practitioners and removes their organs while they are still alive for profits. Many passersby expressed their condemnation of the CCP's behavior.

The banquet ended at 9:00 p.m., and Chen left the 101 Building. Practitioners stood across the street and called out, "Falun Dafa is good!" "Falun Dafa is a righteous practice!" and "Stop persecuting Falun Gong!" for over 10 minutes, hoping Chen would hear them.

At the banquet, many reporters surrounded him. One asked, "Did you hear the voices of the protesters?" Chen told the reporter he had heard and seen them.

After Chen arrived in Taiwan, practitioners gathered at places where Chen would possibly show up, such as the airport, the Palace Museum, the Taiwan Cement Co., and the Taipei 101 Building. They want Chen to get the message that the CCP needs to stop the persecution of Falun Gong immediately. As the TV broadcast the protest scenes, reporters stationed in the media center in Grand Hotel approved of what the practitioners were doing and commented, "Yes! Why should they be arrested when all they do is some exercises?"

Tsai Shou-Jen, a practitioner, waited outside the 101 Building. He said, "The CCP started the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999. We want to take this opportunity to tell Chen the facts about the situation. We want the persecution to stop immediately. We also want to tell the world that Falun Dafa has spread to over 80 countries and that Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is what the world needs."

On the afternoon on November 4, Falun Gong practitioners were scheduled to do the exercises at Freedom Square and call for Chen to quit the CCP when he was in Taiwan.
