My Family Suffered Decades of Persecution Due to the CCP's Tyrannical Rule

Dec. 4, 2008 |   By a Falun Gong practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) I am a Falun Gong practitioner in China. I would like to write about the historical events of persecution experienced by my extended family at the hands of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I hope that this will help people who do not yet have a clear understanding of the CCP's cruelty and tyrannical nature, to get a clear picture so as to help them differentiate good from evil, and also to urge Chinese people to renounce their membership in the CCP. In this way, they will be able to have the mark of the CCP removed and ensure their safety.

My Great Grandfather was Shot to Death

Before the CCP's "building of the nation," my great grandfather was a person of authority in the village. He was an upright person, but because he paid hospitality to the Nationalist Army, he was reported to the authorities. He was then shot by CCP personnel. He didn't die from the first gun shot. He shouted, "You really want my life! What wrong have I committed?" They shot him one more time and he died on the spot.

My Grandmother Died from Anger, My Uncle was Publicly Criticized and Ostracized, and My Family was Broken Apart

During the "Cultural Revolution," my third uncle was a captain in the army. He was treated as belonging to the monarchists and was interrogated. They tried to force him to lower his head when his name was called. But my uncle refused. Instead, he raised his head up high. The whole family was emotionally battered for what he suffered. Because her son was being persecuted for no reason, my grandmother passed away with anger and sorrow in 1974. The rest of her children went to Northeast China. The youngest of them was only in her teens.

My mother married in the same month that my grandmother passed away. The day my mother got married, all she had for a dowry was the clothes she wore. My auntie, who was in her teens, lived with my mother since then. (I remember that I used to play with my little auntie when I was young.) After the Cultural Revolution, my third uncle joined the army without consulting his family. When he left, my grandfather cried but my third uncle said, "I will never return to my hometown again." When my uncle came to visit, he could only come to our house. Even the guests who came for my grandmother's and grandfather's funeral were entertained at my house. According to Chinese custom, the funeral should have been held at the son's house and not the daughter's house. The suffering that the CCP has caused really makes it difficult for one to understand their evil deeds.

My Parents were Beaten

The June 4 Tiananmen massacre happened in 1989. According to custom, my parents should have arranged for a "child marriage" for me. I was only fifteen years old, but I made some mistakes due to my youth and foolishness. Thus the deputy Party secretary of our village (my own uncle) renounced the marriage. When my father went to ask for the reason, he was beaten. When the deputy secretary was drunk he verbally abused our family. Thus my mother asked a relative to have me relocate to the city and arranged a job for me. In this way, I left my hometown. Away from home, I frequently heard news that my mother would be chased and physically abused by the son of the deputy secretary. While chasing her and beating her, he shouted, "Throw her into the the reservoir."

I was Persecuted Because I Practice Falun Gong

I started practicing Falun Gong in the year 1996. After the CCP started to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, I was arrested, beaten, detained, fined, my house was ransacked and my family was implicated. Because I married another Falun Gong practitioner, the CCP personnel wanted to make me undergo a forced abortion. After appeals from various parties, the regime officials failed in their evil plan. The persecution my family had suffered is a clear manifestation of the cruelty of the tyrant CCP.
