(Clearwisdom.net) From January 8 to 14, 2009, the Divine Performing Arts Global Tour will present seven shows at the John Bassett Theatre in the Metro Toronto Convention Centre in Toronto, Canada.

In September 2008, Divine Performing Arts held six performances of the Mid-Autumn Spectacular in this same theatre. The mainstream audience praised the performances and admired Chinese traditional culture.

Canadian Prime Minister Harper stated in his letter, "I am pleased to extend my warmest greetings to everyone taking part in the Mid-Autumn Spectacular show, marking the Mid-Autumn Festival.

"I am certain that everyone in attendance will enjoy the exceptional artistic performances, as well as the colourful display of costumes and lights that this event brings. The organizers and performers are to be commended for sharing the richness of Chinese cultural heritage and traditions with the community at large."

"It starts with a beautiful rainbow of colors," the Senator said. "You are treated to this scene of different variety and it is really quite stunning, and then it sort of fuses with some wonderful music and singing. They have made it so that it all sort of blends together to make a very pleasant experience."

Member of Provincial Parliament of Ontario: "The show was wonderful, and the dances were very attractive."

Randy Hillier, Member of Provincial Parliament of Ontario, praised the show

Randy Hillier, Member of Provincial Parliament of Ontario, praised the show. "The show was wonderful, and the dances were very attractive," he said. "There was a story behind every program, which manifested the traditional Chinese values."

"I think those are the values that people of justice believe in. To me, morality, loyalty to family, and so on are basic values. I am glad to see that those are part of Chinese culture," Hillier said. "I didn't know much about ancient China. This show taught me about it."

Marolyn Morrison, the mayor of Caledon, Ontario: "I will encourage them to come in order for it to benefit more people in my community."

When asked about the show, Marolyn Morrison, the mayor of Caledon, Ontario, said, "Lovely. What I liked about it was how it took you through dance, music, some songs and the history. The costumes were beautiful. Everything was just beautiful. Everything ended on a positive note, even though there is repression, and some things aren't wonderful, they are still happy. Everything ended on a positive note. Very optimistic. It was just wonderful."

Mayor Morrison said, "You know, I think the Chinese culture is very gentle. It really intrigues me, especially being a mayor, looking at society and trying to figure out what we can do with our youth so that they are not so angry, and some of the things that are going on, shouldn't be happening.

"Our young country could learn so much from them. China has a history of 5,000 years in comparison to our young country. We could learn so much.

"I am going to write in my Mayor's column about the performance and I am going to try to educate people. I saw the dates in the brochure about the upcoming shows. I will encourage them to come in order for it to benefit more people in my community."
