(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 18 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 33 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least 34 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Qiqihar City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Ci Hai Arrested and Taken to Tailai Prison
Mr. Ci Hai is currently being held in the No. 4 Division, No. 4 Ward in the Tailai Prison, with four criminals monitoring him. Whenever Mr. Ci explains the facts about Falun Gong, the four criminals beat him.

4. [Chongqing] Several Practitioners in Jiangbei District Persecuted
Personnel from the Jiangbei District Police Department arrested Ms. Hu Zhanying, Ms. Wang Subi, Ms. Wu Bangying, and Ms. Mu Qiming, all retired teachers from the No. 18 Middle School, and also Mr. Yan Guangbi. The police put these practitioners into the Lushan Village Brainwashing Center in the Yubei District.
Ms. Wang was transferred from the Longtoushi Railway Brainwashing Center to the Jiangbei District Detention Center on April 16, 2008. Later, on April 28, 2008, the police sentenced her to three years of forced labor and sent her into the Chongqing Women's Forced Labor Camp.
Ms. Hu and Mr. Yang are still being held at the Lushan Village Brainwashing Center. Ms. Wu and Ms. Mu have been released.
5. [Pengzhou City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Yuxue Arrested
Personnel from the Jiulong Town Security Division in Pengzhou City arrested Ms. Zhou Yuxue at 10:00 a.m. on May 9, 2008. The police beat Ms. Zhou during the arrest, and her head was bleeding. Ms. Zhou's daughter and son-in-law work in another province. Police ransacked Ms. Zhou's home when no one was home.
6. [Chongqing] Ms. Si Zhimin Arrested
Ms. Si Zhimin was arrested and sent to a police station on May 16, 2008, when she clarified the truth about Falun Gong in public.
7. [Chongqing] Ms. Sun Zhaohua Arrested
Ms. Sun Zhaohua, 64, is an employee from the Nonghua Company in Chongqing. Police officers arrested her at her home in Jingkou Town, Shapingba District at 3:00 p.m. on May 15, 2008. The police took Falun Gong books, truth-clarifying materials, and some cash. Ms. Sun is being held in Baiheling.
8. [Shuangpai County, Hunan Province] Ms. Peng Shunying Placed in the Baimalong Forced Labor Camp in Zhuzhou City on the Afternoon of May 7, 2008
9. [Germu City, Qinghai Province] Personnel from the Domestic Security Division Arrested Mr. Chen Jiping on May 13, 2008
10. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Mr. Li Jinyang Arrested
Personnel from the Xiantao City 610 Office and from the Xiliuhe Police Station arrested taxi driver Mr. Li Jinyang at 9:00 a.m. on May 13, 2008.
11. [Xiangyin County, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Fengwu and Ms. Wang Dongxiu Arrested
Ms. Wang Fengwu, 63, and Ms. Wang Dongxiu, 65, live on Zhifu Street, Chengguan Town, Xiangyin County. They were arrested on May 10, 2008 for distributing Falun Gong truth-clarifying materials in Wangbing Township. The two are currently being held in the county's detention center.
12. [Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wang Fuling Arrested
Police officers arrested Ms. Wang Fuling near Taoyuan Village in the Futian District of Shenzhen City. Her whereabouts are unknown.
13. [Bai'an City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sun Lingmin Arrested on the Afternoon of May 15, 2008, for Clarifying the Truth About Falun Gong
14. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Caiyan Incarcerated in the Kaiping City Women's Forced Labor Camp for a Three-Year Term
15. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Mr. Chen Qijiang Sentenced to Imprisonment
Mr. Chen Qijiang is an electrical technician employed at the Qinhuangdao City Grand Hotel. Police arrested him in August 2007 because he talked with the mother of an imprisoned practitioner. The police ransacked his home and confiscated a printer and a computer. They held him in the city's detention center for six months and then transferred Mr. Chen into the Tangshan City Prison on April 24, 2008. He was sentenced to five years in prison.
16. [Beijing] Mr. Lang Chunxu Arrested Recently
17. [Pingdingshan City, Henan Province] Mr. Yang Xicheng Put into the Xuchang City Forced Labor Camp on May 13, 2008 for an Eighteen Month Term
18. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Persecution of Practitioners in Forced Labor Camps
Mr. Chi Minxiang and Mr. Song Lejun from Baishan City are being held at the Chaoyanggou Forced Labor Camp No. 1 Division in Changchun City.
Ms. Liu Fang and Ms. Xu Cuihua from Baishan City are being held in the Heizuizi Women's Forced Labor Camp No. 5 Division in Changchun City. Ms. Lin Daihong from Wangou Town is being held in the No. 6 Division. Ms. Zhang Yulan and Ms. Wu Chuanru from Jiangyuan County are being held in the No. 4 and No. 2 Divisions, respectively.
19. [Jiaohe City, Jilin Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Jiaohe City Police Department and from the Songjiang Baishishan Police Station arrested several practitioners at 5:55 p.m. on April 23, 2008. The practitioners included Mr. Liu Jiang, Ms. Pan Xueling, Mr. Fei Hongrong, Ms. Deng Shuhua, Mr. Li Qingqiang, Ms. Wang Donghong, Mr. Wang Junjie, Mr. Hou Jinwei, Ms. Li Huiqin and Mr. Li Zhenhua. All the practitioners have been taken to the Domestic Security Division.
Personnel from the Jiaohe City Police Department and from the Songjiang Police Station arrested Mr. Guan Haibo, 56-year-old Ms. Dong, and Mr. Zhang, who is in his fifties, on April 25, 2008. The police also arrested Ms. Zheng Shuxiang from Chashuling Village and Mr. Ma Desheng from Xigangzi Village on April 29, 2008.
Personnel from the Xinzhan Police Station arrested four practitioners including Mr. Wang Shaoguang, a 28-year-old woman and a two-year-old child.
20. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Several Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Xinzhou 610 Office persecuted several practitioners in the Liuji Brainwashing Center. They beat the practitioners and deprived them of sleep.
The police ransacked the home of 40-year-old Mr. Tao Jiaping and confiscated a computer on April 2, 2008.
The police ransacked the home of 60-year-old Mr. Zhu Youshan and confiscated some items on April 7, 2008.
The police arrested Ms. Liu Yuhong at her workplace.
Ms. Li Baoqing was arrested at her home on April 25, 2008.
Personnel from the Huangpo Police Station arrested Ms. Lu Baoqing on April 2, 2008.
Police arrested 70-year-old Mr. Xiao Jinhan on his way home.
Police officers who took part in the illegal arrest are from the Cangbu Police Station, the Jiangji Police Station, Huangpo Police Station, Xinzhou Domestic Security Division, Wuhan City Domestic Security Division and agents from the 610 Office.

22. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Tao Wei Held at Lannigou Brainwashing Center
Ms. Tao Wei from Guiyang City was put into the Jinzhu Town Lannigou Brainwashing Center. She had previously been held in the city's Lannigou No. 1 Detention Center.
Officer Feng Qiyi from the school where Ms. Tao works colluded with a police officer named Liu Song. They monitored Ms. Tao for a long time and eventually arrested her on the night of March 15, 2008.

23. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Personnel from the Harbin City Domestic Security Division arrested Ms. Han Xianghua, Ms. Wang Yan, Sun and Wu in a school near the Binjiang Station in late April 2008.
