(Clearwisdom.net) While working in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, Xinmin City migrant worker Zhang Haichao began to develop an occupational disease identified as pneumoconiosis. But according to several diagnoses by the Zhengzhou Occupational Disease Prevention Clinic, his condition was tuberculosis, which is not considered an occupational disease. Unconvinced, he visited several major hospitals in Zhengzhou and Beijing and obtained several consistent diagnoses that his condition was indeed pneumoconiosis. But the Zhengzhou Occupational Disease Prevention Clinic strongly defended its original diagnosis: tuberculosis. Outraged and desperate to prove his argument, Mr. Zhang made an unthinkable decision: he volunteered to undergo an open-chest operation to verify his lung condition.

A patient was willing to have open-chest surgery just to prove his already-diagnosed condition. How senseless! And why did this happen? Only Mr. Zhang could tell of his dire situation.

It is hard to imagine that things such as this could be happening, as it is just so ridiculous and inhumane. But even more horrible things have happened in China. Earlier in 2009 in Xingyi City, Guizhou Province, a homeless man was found dead. When his body was recovered from a reservoir, people could only see an empty shell: all his useful organs had been removed.

The motive to kill the homeless man was to get his organs and sell them for a huge profit.

The cruelty of the killer was far beyond people's imagination. News like this normally gets quickly silenced. Indeed, quite a few websites that reported on this have been shut down. Obviously, the news itself is an accusation against the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and it is a significant revelation of the CCP's nature. No wonder the CCP government took swift measures to suppress the story.

Now that the news has been reported by some media outlets, people are convinced. But what about those unreported stories?

In 2006, witnesses revealed that detained Falun Gong practitioners became victims of a large-scale organ harvesting operation in China.

This accusation was later verified by the international community. Two Canadians, renowned human rights lawyer David Matas and former Secretary of State for Asia Pacific David Kilgore, conducted a comprehensive and thorough investigation of this crime. Their investigation includes phone interviews to involved hospitals, individual doctors, and middle-men. They compiled their findings and conclusion on the CCP's crime of harvesting Falun Gong practitioners' organs in an independent investigation report. (http://organharvestinvestigation.net/)

Organ transplantation from unwilling donors began happening in China about the same time that the CCP regime intensified its persecution of Falun Gong. Mr. Kilgore and Mr. Matas were horrified by such an intolerable crime and decided to look into the accusation on humanitarian grounds. They told the world: This was "a grotesque form of evil which, despite all the deprivations humanity has seen, would be new to this planet." And the genocide was committed by the CCP using its government agencies.

But many confused Chinese people have not been awakened by this gruesome atrocity, and they continue to blindly accept the CCP propaganda. As people continued to fall for the lies, more and more Falun Gong practitioners fell victim to the CCP surgeons' knife.

The persecution of Falun Gong has gone on for a decade. Why do people still fail to realize the evil nature of the perpetrators? Perhaps most people have become cowardly, and that is the ideal social environment for the CCP to persecute its imagined enemies without fear of reprisal.

The ability to carry out the long term, large-scale organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners is due in part to the CCP's information blockade. The communists' lies have sealed off people's minds and conscience. But lies cannot fool people forever.

Collective indifference is a sign of silent approval by the majority. In such an oppressive social atmosphere, every individual is squeezed so tightly that he can hardly breathe. The bloody surgical knife is being wielded under the ruling party's protection, and the voices of justice cannot be heard. How can the killers be stopped from cutting people up for profit?

Falun Gong practitioners are risking their lives by exposing these crimes. What they are doing is exactly what this world needs the most.

May the painful cries of the victims wake up everyone's conscience.
