(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 15 cities or counties in nine provinces. In this report, 29 Falun Gong practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention, and at least nine practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Shaoguan, Guangdong Province] Ms. Zhang Jianping Sentenced to 18 Months of Forced Labor
Ms. Zhang Jianping from Shaoguan was arrested prior to the October 1 holiday in 2009. She has been sent to the Sanshui Forced Labor Camp in Guangdong Province to serve an 18-month term. Another practitioner, Ms. Lin Cailing, was arrested at the same time. Ms. Lin was employed by the Shaoguan Steel & Iron Corporation. She is now in the Shaoguan No. 3 Detention Center, facing trial.
2. [Mudanjiang, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zou Jihua Persecuted at the Mudanjiang Agricultural Administration Bureau Detention Center
Ms. Zou Jixiu, held at the Mudanjiang Agricultural Administration Bureau Detention Center, was diagnosed with high blood pressure and serious heart disease.

3. [Genhe City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Wu Jiezhou and Ms. Dong Arrested
Mr. Wu Jiezhou, 73, and Ms. Dong, in her sixties, were arrested at their homes on November 29, 2009. Their homes were ransacked, and they are now being held in the Genhe City Detention Center.
4. [Yakeshi City, Inner Mongolia] Mr. Lin Shande and Others Arrested--Homes Ransacked
The Yakeshi City Police Department's deputy chief led the police to arrest 57-year-old Mr. Lin Shande at home, which they ransacked at 9:00 a.m. on October 30, 2009. Several other practitioners were arrested that day and are now held in the Yakeshi City Detention Center.
5. [Zhucheng, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang Zhaolan, in Her Fifties, Was Arrested on November 25, 2009
6. [Diaobingshan City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Xingxian Held in Custody
Mr. Wang Xingxian, 58, from Daming Town, was arrested as he spoke with people about Falun Gong and the persecution on December 7, 2009. Daming Town Police Station officers ransacked his home and took away Falun Gong books and an MP3 player. He is now held at the Diaobingshan Detention Center.
7. [Dandong City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Held at the Baifang Detention Center
Four practitioners from Mashi went to distribute information about Falun Gong in Penghai Town, Kuandian County on December 4, 2009. Officers from the Penghai Town Police Station and from the Kuandian County Domestic Security Division arrested them at around 11:00 a.m. Two practitioners were able to escape at 8:00 p.m., and the other two were sent to the Baifang Detention Center. One more practitioner was later able to escape, and only one is now being held in the Baifang Detention Center.
Five officers from the Kuandian County Domestic Security Division and from the Mashi Frontier Police Station went to harass practitioners who have returned home on December 7, 2009.

8. [Anyue, Sichuan Province] Mr. Chen Youcai Arrested and Taken to the Er'e Lake Brainwashing Center
Dabo Village Party Secretary Lei Deli reported Mr. Chen Youcai from Lifeng Town on November 26, 2009. He then collaborated with the county's 610 Office head Chen Dongmei and the Ziyang City police, and they took Mr. Chen to the Er'E Lake Brainwashing Center in Ziyang City.
Mr. Chen had previously spent eight years in prison beginning in 2001 and returned home three months ago.

9. [Aba County, Sichuan Province] Mr. Lu Zhiyong Faces Sentencing
Mr. Lu Zhiyong had previously spent nearly five years serving two forced labor terms in the Xinhua Forced Labor Camp in Mianyang City. He was fired from his job and separated from his family for a long time. He was so severely abused that his life was in danger many times. Mr. Lu managed to leave the forced labor camp early this year, but the Heishui County police arrested him on September 19, 2009 in Xinjin. Heishui County Court officials intend to send him to prison.

13. [Xiangtan City, Hunan Province] Mr. Luo Xiangjiang on Persecution Protest Hunger Strike for a Week
Mr. Luo Xiangjiang from Xiangtan City is still being held in the Xiangtan City Detention Center, and the procurator has submitted an indictment against him with the court. Mr. Luo firmly resisted the persecution and has been on a hunger strike for a week.
Mr. Luo was arrested at 8:00 a.m. on September 16, 2009. Participating in the arrest were 610 Office agent Zhao Yuefeng, Shuyuan Street Police Station chief Xu Wanping and others. They did not present a warrant, but broke into Mr. Luo's home and took him to the Shuyuan Street Police Station. The police then ransacked his rented home and took many personal items, including Falun Gong books, a photo of Master, blank discs, a computer, a printer, a cell phone, MP4 and MP5 players, cash, a bank book, pay card, meal card and his ID card.
14. [Zhucheng, Shandong Province] Eleven Practitioners Held in the Zhucheng Detention Center
The following practitioners are held in the Zhucheng Detention Center: Ms. Lu Guijuan, Ms. Liu Xixiang, Mr. Li Wensheng, Ms. Tai Guishan, Ms. Sui Hongju, Ms. Qiu Jiaxiu, Ms. Ma Hongying, Mr. Liu Peizhi, Mr. Li Liang, Ms. Wang Lili and Ms. Wang Hongwei.
15. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Hongyan Held in Custody for Three Months
Shenhe Domestic Security Division officers arrested Ms. Guo Hongyan from the Shenhe District on September 9, 2009. Officials then transferred her from the Zhangshi Brainwashing Center to the Shenyang City Detention Center. Ms. Guo held a hunger strike to resist the persecution and is currently very weak physically.
16. [Anguo, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhao Suzhen and Ms. Liu Na Have Returned Home
Ms. Zhao Suzhen from Anguo was released from the Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp on November 12, 2009. Ms. Liu Na was released from the Anguo Detention Center on October 25, 2009. She was fired from her job at the Traffic Police Force.
17. [Guantao County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Yunxian Persecuted
Since the persecution of Falun Gong started on July 20, 1999, officers from the local police station and personnel from the township government have often harassed Ms. Zhang Yunxian at home. Guo Baohua and others from the Matou Police Station arrested Ms. Zhang in 2005 and took her to the Guantao County Domestic Security Division, where the police slapped her face and hung her up twice. She was tied up to a metal chair for a day and tortured on a tiger bench for two hours. Ms. Zhang was also held in a detention center for three months.
She spent two months in the Handan City Forced Labor Camp Brainwashing Center, where she was subjected to gross abuse and had about 5,000 yuan extorted from her. While in detention, her husband was detained for a day, and their child was detained for seven days.
In 2007, officials arrested and held Ms. Zhang for a month. She had 2,500 yuan extorted from her.
Ms. Zhang was harassed many times during the 2008 Beijing Olympics. More than twenty officers and several police vehicles surrounded her home the evening of August 16, 2008. They arrested and took Ms. Zhang to an undisclosed location in the Xishahe area, where she was detained for a month.
Ms. Zhang has been detained a total of seven months, and has had over 9,000 yuan taken away from her.
18. [Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Hou Wenfeng Arrested
Two officers from the Mudanjiang Police Department and officers from the Qitaihe Railway Police Station arrested Mr. Hou Wenfeng at the Qitaihe Bus Section Workshop on the morning of December 7, 2009. The police also ransacked his home and took away Falun Gong books and other personal belongings. Mr. Hou was taken to the Mudanjiang Railway Police Department Sub-office.
19. [Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Bai Lizhu Arrested
A plainclothes police officer arrested Ms. Bai Lizhu from Daqing City on the afternoon of December 8, 2009.
20. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Guijie, Ms. Shi Chunhong and Ms. Wang Li Arrested
Ms. Liu Guijie, Ms. Shi Chunhong and Ms. Wang Li from the Farmer's Restaurant in Daling Town were arrested at 3:00 p.m. on December 4, 2009. Participating in the arrest were officers from the Gongzhuling City Domestic Security Division and from the Daling Town Police Station. Ms. Liu is the manager, Ms. Shi the chef and Ms. Wang a waitress at the restaurant. Their whereabouts are unknown, and the restaurant has been shut down.
