(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 8 provinces. In this report, 10 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 10 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Hongxiang and Two Other Practitioners Arrested by Mudanjiang Railroad Police Department
On November 11, 2009, officers from the Mudanjiang Railroad Police Department arrested Mr. Zhao Hongxiang, an employee of the Mudanjiang Railroad Vehicle Section while he was at work, under the pretext that he had been reported. The police also searched his home but did not find anything to use against him. Finally, the officers found Falun Dafa content on an MP3 player in Mr. Zhao's pocket. The officers tracked down the source of the materials and arrested Mr. Li Xueren, owner of a food store, and Mr. Chen Yueshan, an employee of the Vehicle Section, on November 20. The three practitioners are being held at the Aihe Detention Center in Mudanjiang City. Because of their outstanding performance at work, the leaders of their work units and their families have all been to the police department to ask for their release.
2. [Changtu County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhai Mingjun's Unlawful Forced Labor Term Extended
Mr. Zhai Mingjun is from Sanjiangkou Town, Changtu County, Liaoning Province. His three-year forced labor term was scheduled to end on September 4, 2009. The authorities extended his term because he refused to give up cultivation. On October 20, officers from the Sanjiangkou Town Police Station, carrying out orders from the Political and Judiciary Committees and the 610 Office at the provincial, municipal and county levels, secretly took Mr. Zhai to the Luotaishanzhuang Brainwashing Center in Fushun City from the Benxi Forced Labor Camp.
On November 20, Mr. Zhai was supposed to be released from the brainwashing center. His family went there to take him home. Wu Weixiong, head of the brainwashing center, told them that officers from the local police station had to be there to take him back. His family then asked when the officers were to show up. They were told it would take another week. Mr. Zhai remains in custody at the brainwashing center.
3. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Practitioners Held at Shijiazhuang Women's Forced Labor Camp

4. [Funan County, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners in Jiaopi Town Arrested
On November 23, 2009, officers from the Funan County Police Department, agents from the 610 Office, and officers from the Jiaopi Town Police Station arrived at a village in Jiaopi Town. Deng Jiaping, who is the village head, led the officers to practitioners' homes. The police arrested Ms. Li Qizheng, Ms. Zhang Ying, and Ms. Zhang's husband. The police confiscated a large number of Falun Dafa books and materials. The three practitioners have been taken to the Funan County Detention Center.

5. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Two Practitioners Arrested in Liulichang Area
Shortly after 11:00 p.m. on November 23, 2009, a group of officers from the Chenglong Police Station broke into Ms. Wang's temporary residence in Shangdong Garden. They arrested Ms. Wang and another female practitioner. During the illegal arrest, the two practitioners shouted, "Falun Dafa is Great!"
6. [Kuerle City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region] Ms. Zhang Guilan and Another Practitioner Arrested
On the evening of May 7, 2009, officers from the Kuerle City Police Department arrested Ms. Zhang Guilan. No word has come from her. Her family has been denied the right to visit her. The police have not allowed them to send in clothes or other necessities.
Ms. Yang Shuang'er, in her forties, was arrested in June 2009. She has been unlawfully sentenced to two years of forced labor. She is being held at the Wujiayuan Forced Labor Camp in Changji City, Xinjiang Autonomous Region. Ms. Yang started practicing Falun Dafa in 2002. She had been taken to forced labor twice before, serving a one-year and a two-year term.
7. [Hohhot City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region] Prison Authorities Deny Visits from Families, Citing H1N1 Flu
The authorities of the Hohhot City Women's Prison in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region have cited H1N1 flu as an excuse to deny visits by families (including families of Falun Gong practitioners). The officials have even prohibited depositing cash. Only mailing is permitted. Most practitioners in the prison have been isolated for brainwashing.

8. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Hu Jianhua Held at Taojialing Detention Center in Hanyang District, Wuhan City
Mr. Hu Jianhua went missing on November 16, 2009. It has been confirmed that he has been placed under a 15-day detention for distributing truth-clarification materials. He is being held at Taojialing Detention Center in Hanyang District, Wuhan City. The detention was scheduled to end on December 2.
