Police from Anguo City, Hebei Province Arrest More Than Ten Falun Gong Practitioners

(Clearwisdom.net) On the evening of September 23, 2009, many police officers from the Anguo City Police Department broke into several people's homes without search warrants and arrested more than ten Falun Gong practitioners.

In order to cover up these illegal arrests, the police prohibited family members from visiting these practitioners. Without any legal process, the practitioners were then sent to Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp. The details of their arrests are as follows:

Ms. Jin Tonghui (in her sixties). On September 22, 2009, Ms. Jin was arrested and her home was ransacked. She is the manager of the Anguo Medicine Market. She was often praised by her suppliers and customers because she was compassionate and worked hard. She was arrested three times and harassed many times by police from the Anguo Police Department and her local police station. They extorted money from her several times, totaling more than 10,000 yuan. Her monthly living expenses of 800 yuan was taken without notification. This time, she was sent to Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camp without any legal procedures.

Ms. Zhao Yuran (36 years old). On September 23, 2009, Ms. Zhao was arrested at home and her computer and printer were confiscated.

Ms. Tian Hua (34 years old). At around 6:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, Ms. Tian was arrested at work (a shoe store) by officers from the Public Security Bureau. The computer in the store was also taken. She had previously been arrested at work (a post office). She was later fired because she was not willing to give up her belief.

Ms. Luu Jianhui (40 years old). At around 7:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, Ms. Luu was arrested at home by officers from the Anguo Police Department and the Public Security Bureau. They confiscated a VCD player. Ms. Luu had previously been arrested and extorted out of more than 10,000 yuan because of her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Ms. Kong Huijuan (46 years old). Ms. Kong is a teacher from the Vocational Education Center of Anguo City. In 1999, she was sentenced to two years in a forced labor camp because she was not willing to give up her cultivation of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She was jailed in the Baoding, Gaoyang, and Shijiazhuang Forced Labor Camps, where she was subjected to brutal tortures. She was later demoted in her job by two salary grades on orders from the 610 Office and the party secretary of Anguo City. At around 7:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, she was arrested at home and her computer and printer were taken away.

Ms. Li Chao (37 years old). Ms. Li has a 3-year-old child. At around 8:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, a group of officers from the Public Security Bureau of Anguo City climbed over a wall and broke into her room, ransacking it and taking away her computer and printer. Her husband is currently homeless. The only people left at home were her high school age daughter and her 3-year-old baby girl. The young child was so frightened by the police that she now cries all the time. Currently, the grandmother is taking care of the two girls.

1. Ms. Xiao Xiangyu (45 years old) was a teacher of the Vocational Education Center of Anguo City. She was jailed in Baoding Forced Labor Camp twice because she was not willing to give up her belief in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. In the camp, she was beaten, tortured with electrical shocks, and made to do hard labor. During that time she contracted pulmonary tuberculosis. Within the past several years, she was arrested many times by officers from the Anguo City Police Department. She subsequently lost her job at the Vocational Education Center and could only work part time. Her life is now very difficult, as she has to support her daughter's college expenses. She was arrested again at around 9:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009. Her home was ransacked and her computer and printer were confiscated.

2. Ms. Wang Xinling (47 years old) is a teacher of Xiangyang Elementary School of Anguo City. Ms. Wang's home was broken into by officers from the Anguo Police Department and Traffic Police Group of Anguo City at around 10:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, and she was arrested. Her home was ransacked and her computer and printer were confiscated.

3. Ms. Xiao Jing (35 years old) was arrested at work (Yijiawang Supermarket) on September 25, 2009 by officers from the Anguo City Police Department.

4. Mr. Gu Zhanhui (about 40 years old) is a farmer. He was arrested, detained and had money extorted from him many times by officers from the Anguo City Police Department. He was sent to Baoding Forced Labor Camp twice. He was again arrested on September 25, 2009. It was harvest time and his family really needed his help. His wife and two children are now left at home alone and their lives are very difficult.

5. Ms. Cao Liqian (49 years old) was a worker of the Anguo City Family Planning Office (birth control office). She was arrested at home at around 7:00 p.m. on September 23, 2009, and her home was ransacked.
