(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Sun (surname) was the husband of Ai, director of the No. 6 Neighborhood Committee of the Nanshan District, Hegang City. After the persecution of Falun Gong began on July 20, 1999, Sun became an accomplice of the regime. He pretended to be a former practitioner, and slandered Falun Gong on Hegang TV, poisoning the viewers of the entire city with lies. Sun suffered retribution for this act soon afterwards; he became seriously ill and could not walk properly. He died two years ago. His wife, Ai, is bedridden, suffering from a bone disorder.

This story serves as a grave warning to people. Please be responsible for your future, learn from this unfortunate lesson, and treasure this great opportunity of all ages, as Falun Dafa is being offered to everyone.

Mao Shenghua, in his forties, is the party secretary of the Dongxing Neighborhood Committee of Chenxi County, Hunan Province. To promote his political career, he reported his uncle Mao Changwang, a Falun Gong practitioner, leading to his arrest and loss of employment. Additionally, on September 20, 2007, Mao made arrangements with the county's 610 Office and the domestic department of the local police station to have his uncle taken to the Huaihua City brainwashing center.

Mao's father, who is in his seventies, and poisoned by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) propaganda, cut off his relationship with his Falun Gong practitioner brother. When the father became ill and suffered a stroke, his family told him that it was karmic retribution for persecuting Falun Gong. He changed a little, and occasionally said to himself, "Falun Dafa is good," and his condition improved. However, he returned to his old attitude after his brother was taken to a brainwashing center.

The younger Mao has undergone surgery three times for back problems and appendicitis. The elder Mao broke his leg three days after threatening his brother, and is now bedridden and in great pain.
