Ma Guobao from Jilin Province Dies from Persecution

Ma Guobao, 69, lived in Qian'an Town, Songyuan City, Jilin Province. Because he refused to renounce Falun Dafa, he was repeatedly harassed, arrested and sent to forced labor camps. On March 28, 2009, he passed away as a result of the relentless spersecution.

Before practicing Falun Dafa, Ma Guobao carried medicines with him wherever he went. In 1997, he started to practice Falun Dafa and soon became a healthy person. This older person personally experienced the miracle of Dafa. He told everyone he met that Falun Dafa is good and said that good will be rewarded if you believe in Falun Dafa.

After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started to persecute Falun Dafa on July 20, 1999, Mr. Ma became an "important figure," a target of intensified persecuted. He was illegally arrested and detained four times. The police went to Mr. Ma's home and harassed him many times. In 2002, he was sent to the Jiutai Forced Labor Camp for two years. He went on a hunger strike twice to protest the unlawful persecution. He was not released until he was on the verge of death.

Just when his health was restored, the police went to Mr. Ma's home to harass him. On several occasions, they stole Dafa books, exercise tapes, and MP3 players. At 8 p.m. on July 13, 2005, several policemen from the Mingfeng Police Station broke into his house and ransacked the home. Mr. Ma was taken to the Qian'an County Police Department and detained at the Qian'an County Detention Center.

On March 1, 2007, Li Yanbo, Tan Fengshan, Ma Dawen and another policeman from the National Security Team broke into Mr. Ma's home and removed Dafa books, a tape recorder and an MP3 player. The police demanded that Mr. Ma sign a statement promising not to practice Falun Dafa and threatened to arrest him. However, their plan failed.

This continual harassment caused great stress to Mr. Ma and his family. As a result of the ongoing persecution, he suffered from cerebral thrombosis and could not take care of himself. However, the police still went to his home, harassed him and took away more Dafa books.

His family later moved to a rural area. The police drove their police vehicles to the place where the family resided to harass Mr. Ma. The constant harassment caused him to not study the Fa or practice the exercises. His health gradually deteriorated, and on March 28, 2009, he passed away. His family members and friends know that he passed away as a result of the tremendous stress of the persecution.

Mr. Pan Mingfang from Guangxi Province Died as a Result of Persecution

Pan Mingfang, 34, lived in Jinzhou City, Guangxi Province. Over the past few years, the CCP continually persecuted him. He was repeatedly detained and assaulted both physically and mentally. In the early morning of March 10, 2009, Mr. Pan suddenly vomited blood and passed away.

Mr. Pan was a former employee of the Jinzhou Iron Alloy Factory. In 2000, he was sentenced to six years in prison because he would not give up his belief in Falun Dafa. He was detained in the Liuzhou Prison in Guangxi Province. In the prison, Mr. Pan was brutally tortured both in body and mind. He was often confined to a small isolation cell. More than ten policemen took turns to torture him.

After Mr. Pan's release from six years of detention, a local person who had practiced Falun Dafa took him in because Mr. Pan had no place to stay. However, Mr. Pan was once again arrested and released. The person who took him in had been brainwashed by the CCP and cooperated with the authorities to persecuted Falun Gong practitioners.

Mr. Pan was arrested a third time. He was tortured and he lost more than ten pounds. He was very weak and on the verge of death. The police planned to send him to a forced labor camp. However, the labor camp refused to accept him because of his declining health. Mr. Pan Mingfang was released home.

In order to avoid harassment by the CCP, Mr. Pan was forced to become homeless and destitute. He sought work in Hengyang City, Hunan Province. However, because he had been tortured and detained repeatedly, his body and mind were severely damaged. During this time, he lost his appetite and vomited blood. His job often required him to work overtime. He even had to work on Chinese New Year's Eve. In the early morning of March 30, 2009, Pan Mingfang passed away at the age of 34.
