(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Head of Village Public Security Dies After Receiving Retribution for Participating in Persecution of Falun Gong Practitioners
Jiang Ligui, head of Public Security in Jielishu Village, Anmin Township, Dandong City, Liaoning Province, often reported Dafa practitioners and destroyed truth-clarifying materials during his tenure. Dafa practitioners clarified the truth to him numerous times and told him that he would meet with karmic retribution if he continued to persecute Dafa practitioners, but he wouldn't listen or believe what they told him. He continued giving orders to tear up Dafa materials and kept on monitoring practitioners, especially during the Olympics, when he led staff from the Township Justice Department to intimidate and harass Dafa practitioners and their families.
On January 13, 2009, Jiang organized a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) meeting. That nightfall he began to run a high fever. He fainted when he went to the village public health clinic. He was rushed to the township hospital for emergency treatment. Doctors there said he needed to be treated at a larger hospital. Jiang Ligui died while in transit. He was 58.

On the morning of January 25, 2009, there was a snowfall in the southwestern part of Wuji County, Hebei Province. People had been looking forward to the snow for a long time, as there hadn't been any snow all winter. Although the snow wasn't heavy, as people were busy shoveling snow, a village cadre by the name of Zhang fell from the top of a wall and fractured his leg. He struggled for a long time, but no one was aware of his situation. He cried out for help, but there wasn't any answer. His family found him at lunchtime. Several Dafa practitioners said that they felt sorry for not being able to save this sentient being.
Since becoming village cadre, Zhang actively tipped off the police regarding any information about the local people, whether it involved family planning or someone moving in or out of the area. The most unfortunate thing was that he participated in persecuting Falun Gong practitioners. He would follow policemen to break into practitioners' homes and confiscate their belongings and Dafa books. He took practitioners to the police station, put them in handcuffs, and extorted money from them. Despite his terrible behavior, Dafa practitioners still tried to save him without any grudges. They went to his home to clarify the truth to him and his family. He refused to listen and drove them away.

Song Baoming is a policeman at Baojichaoyu Village Police Station, Shaanxi Province. On February 18, 2009, he actively participated in the kidnapping of Dafa practitioner Zhao Fusuo. He humiliated him and beat him up in the process. Later, Song got in touch with the Zaozihe Forced Labor Camp to have Zhao illegally detained. Three days later, Song felt pain all over his whole body. At the hospital, no cause of illness could be found. His condition is getting worse and he is still in hospital having IV infusions.
