Letting Go and Cooperating

Aug. 24, 2009 |   By a practitioner in China

(Clearwisdom.net) Three practitioners in our local area were arrested some time ago while clarifying the truth and were held at a detention center. Other practitioners immediately notified their families, and also went to the detention center to visit them. Meanwhile they clarified the truth to the police and requested the release of the practitioners. Soon after we started the rescue however, two practitioners who were primary coordinators in this effort (A and B) had arguments.

The process of rescuing fellow practitioners is actually a process of disintegrating evil and eliminating separation among all participating practitioners. When practitioners are being persecuted, it must be because of interference. Therefore, other practitioners also encounter interference in rescuing them. Often times practitioners hold different opinions, and when they don't agree with each other and are unable to move things forward, the old forces succeed in their attempts at separating practitioners.

Teacher said in "Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,"

"If you've got a good idea, well, you came up with it, you're being responsible to the Fa, and it's not important whether your idea is adopted or whether your approach is used. If another person's idea can achieve the same effect and you aren't attached to your own idea and instead you go along with his, then whether you've shared your approach or not, Gods will all see this and think, "Look, he isn't attached, and he's able to be so tolerant and broadminded."

Practitioner A quickly came to understand things from the Fa. He was able to let go of his own opinion and unconditionally cooperate with practitioner B, letting go of any attachment to his own approach. True improvement is to give up, not to gain. Secondly, he consistently followed practitioner B's approach. He did not get frustrated when his approach was not used. Practitioner A's family made a joke, "You guys should not argue with each other, for no one is going to benefit."

Teacher said in"Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,"

"...if there's something lacking in it they'll unconditionally and quietly supplement it to make things more complete and perfect."

No matter what sacred thing we do, it all involves our personal improvement in cultivation. Therefore we need to let go of self, and supplement and unconditionally cooperate with others. When all participating practitioners reach the requirement of the Fa at that level, the evil in other dimensions will naturally be destroyed. Whether detained practitioners are released or not is not determined by those perpetrators. The three practitioners in our area were unconditionally released after fifteen days. One of them had never told the police his name. The police had to make up a name for him at the time of release.

Humans have their ways of doing things. Gods have different approaches. Approaches used by practitioners in rescuing others need to be gods' approaches. How would gods approach saving sentient beings then? Teacher said in "Teaching and Explaining the Fa at the Metropolitan New York Fa Conference",

"Now you're all clear on the purpose of clarifying the facts, which is to expose the evil persecution and to let the world's people know and to let the beings in the cosmos know. While you're clarifying here, layers upon layers of your bodies that have completed cultivation are also clarifying at cosmic bodies of different levels. You have to expose the persecution and the evil drama, and you have to let the world's people see it clearly, and this too suppresses it and eliminates it. Clarifying the facts is most powerful, and it's an act of grand compassion since this persecution is completely based on lies and deception."

During this rescue effort, although practitioners were attached to relying on ordinary people, we later all realized it and eliminated the attachment. We completely believed in Teacher and the Fa, improved from studying the Fa and realized that the best way to rescue practitioners is clarifying the truth. Wherever we go, we clarify the truth. When the police finally learned the truth, they unconditionally released the practitioners.

It's just my personal understanding. Please point out anything inappropriate.
