1. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Liu Yanqiu Illegally Arrested and Home Ransacked

A group of police officers broke the door and entered Ms. Liu Yanqiu's home in the Hewan Residential District in the Longhuashan Administration Division in Xiantao City at 10:00 p.m. on July 19, 2009. They subsequently ransacked her home and took several printers, the computer CPU, CD/DVD writers, modems, Falun Gong books, and MP4 players and MP3 players, among other things. The ransacking lasted until past 1:00 a.m. They also arrested Mr. Liu Xiong when he returned home from work.

2. [Beijing] Ms. Shao Shuli Arrested

Six officers from the Renhe Police Station in the Shunyi District, Beijing, broke into Ms. Shao Shuli's home at 10:00 a.m. on July 19, 2009. They took several PDAs and several Falun Gong books. They arrested Ms. Shao and held her at the Nihe Detention Center in the Shunyi District.

3. [Baoji City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Zhao Ru and His Wife, Qiang Huilan, Arrested

Eight officers from Weibin Police Department arrested Mr. Zhao Ru and his wife, Qiang Huilan, from their home in Sanhe Village, Gaojia Town, Baoji City, the afternoon of July 8, 2009. They turned the home upside down. It is said the couple is now being held at the Lingyun Hotel.

4. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Liu Yanxiao Held at the Tianhe District Detention Center

The police arrested Mr. Liu Yanxiao from his home in Huanxi Village, Dongpu, the Tianhe District, Guangzhou City, at 5:00 p.m. on July 14, 2009. They ransacked his home and took him to the Qianjin Street Police Station. He is now being held at the Tianhe District Detention Center in Guangzhou City.

(Liu Yanxiao's wife was sentenced to ten years in prison for handing out Falun Gong flyers. She underwent nonstop brainwashing and returned home in June 2009. Their child is 11 years old.)

5. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Police Threaten Ms. Wang Yuhua

Officials from the Linqu County Police Department's Domestic Security Division phoned Ms. Wang Yuhua at her home in Panyang Village, Xinzhai Town, on July 12, 2009. They told her to report to the Domestic Security Division on July 15, or they would arrest her.

6. [Shandong Province] Persecution at the Shandong Province No. 2 Women's Forced Labor Camp

The following practitioners have been tortured and tormented at the Shandong Province No. 2 Women's Forced Labor Camp since 2008:

Ms. Yao Qiuhong from Weihai City has been held since 2008. Male inmates savagely tortured her and locked her in solitary confinement and in a bathroom. She refused to renounce her belief but is now very weak. Family visits are not allowed.

Mr. Jiang Fang from Weifang City has been held since early 2009. He is being tortured physically tortured and mentally for not giving up his belief. His family is banned from meeting with him.

Ms. Song Xiu from Gaomi has been held since early 2009. She is now unrecognizable due to torture. Her family has not seen her since the arrest.

Mr. Lu Tao was sentenced to three years of forced labor. He suffered a traumatic eye injury at the hands of camp authorities and cannot see clearly to this day.

7. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Additional Information Regarding the Arrest of Ms. Zhang Shufang

Police arrested Ms. Zhang Shufang from her home in Liujiazhuang Village, Jiudian Town, Pingdu City, on July 13, 2009. They ransacked her home and took two computers, printers, cash, and other personal belongings. She is now int the Pingdu Custody Center.

8. [Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Xing Guiling Arrested

Ms. Xing Guiling from the 854 Farm in Hulin City lived with her daughter in the Zhongzejiayuan Residential Complex in Dagao Village, the Tongzhou District, Beijing. The police arrested her on June 23, 2009, as she handed out Falun Gong materials. She is now being held at the Tongzhou District Detention Center.

9. [Hunan Province] Police Extort Money from Mr. Hu Xurong's Family

The police ransacked Mr. Hu Xurong's home many times in 2003 because he distributed Falun Gong flyers. He works at the Hunan Province Postal Bureau Inspection Division. Police officer Su Siyuan extorted 8,400 yuan from Mr. Hu's family on three different occasions.

The police arrested Mr. Ju Guangge and Ms. Zou Benmei from their homes in Juzhangzi Village, Damiao Township, Chaoyang County, at 1:30 p.m. on July 18, 2009. They arrested another practitioner at 7:00 p.m.

13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Min's Mother Returned Home; Wang Min and Her Brother Still Held at a Detention Center

Officers from the Tianjin Street Police Station arrested Ms. Wang Min, her brother, and their mother at 7:00 a.m. on July 16, 2009, after waiting outside the Wang home. They subsequently ransacked the home. Wang Min and her brother, Wang Shiming, are being held at the Yaojia Detention Center. Their mother has returned home.

Ms. Dong Aiyuan from Jinan City went out to distribute truth-clarification materials on the afternoon of July 16, 2009. She did not return home even after midnight. Between midnight and 1:00 a.m., the police came to ransack her home. Ms. Dong has been sent to Zhonggong Detention Center in Jinan.

15. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Shuling Arrested

Officers from Qiuzhuang Township Police Station and Anci District Police Department in Langfang City broke into Ms. Wang Shuling's home at 2:00 p.m. on July 15, 2009. They arrested her and ransacked her home. They also looted Ms. Liu Wenhua's home in the same village; Liu Wenhua left home to avoid arrest.

16. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dou Guangxia Arrested

Officers from the Langfang City Domestic Security Division and from the Luozuo Town Police Station arrested Ms. Dou Guangxia at her home in Sundongzhuang Village, Luozuo Town, Langfang City, on July 16, 2009. They ransacked her home and took a number of her personal belongings. Ms. Dou is now in the Langfang City Custody Center.

17. [Zhucheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Peizhi Has Been Detained for Four Months

37-year-old Ms. Liu Peizhi, who lived in the Renminjiayuan Residential District in Zhucheng City, has been held at the Zhucheng City Detention Center for four months. Her family has been forbidden to visit her even once since the arrest. (Her 11-year-old daughter, Wen Qian, now attends Xijiao Elementary School in Zhucheng City.)

21. [Anhui Province] Ms. Li Suying Under House Arrest; Home Ransacked

Shao Bing, Longzihu District Police Department Domestic Security Division head in Bengbu City; the head of the Dongsheng Police Station; and six other officers broke into Ms. Li Suying's home at 5:30 a.m. on July 16, 2009. They confiscated her computers; printers; Falun Gong materials; DVDs; 2,166 yuan in cash; and other personal belongings. Ms. Li is currently under house arrest.

(Li Suying's 80-year-old husband is bedridden and lost consciousness for a brief period at 2:40 p.m. the day of the ransacking.)

22. [Luoyang City, Henan Province] Luoyang Court Officials Put Four Falun Gong Practitioners on Trial

Xigong District Court officials in Luoyang City put the following four practitioners on trial: 38-year-old Mr. Li Jingke, 52-year-old Ms. Zhao Ying, Mr. Wang Suihai in his 40s, and Ms. Guo Shuping in her 60s. It happened at 9:00 a.m. on July 17, 2009. The trial lasted more than two hours, but the judge did not reach a verdict. He announced that another trial would be held on a different day.

23. [Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Yuying Arrested Again

Ms. Huang Yuying from Heyuan City has been imprisoned for the past six years. She was released last year but was arrested from home again at noon on July 21, 2009, less than one year after her release. Her husband and son went to the police department on July 22, 2009, but were forbidden from seeing her.

24. [Hubei Province] Wuxue City Court Puts Six Practitioners on Trial

Six out of the seven practitioners from Wuxue City who were arrested during the 2008 Olympics were sentenced to prison. Ms. Wu Yaqin was sentenced to five years, Mr. Chen Feng to four years, Ms. Li Xuezhen, Mr. Li Jiguo, Mr. Fang Tianming, and Mr. Liu Ji were each sentenced to three years. All of them have decided to appeal their sentences.

25. [Jingzhou City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yang Hong Taken to a Brainwashing Center

Ms. Yang Hong, around 50 years old, worked at the Jingzhou City People's Bank. Officials from the Shashi District 610 Office and from the Shashi District Domestic Security Division in Jingzhou City arrested Ms. Yang the morning of July 17, 2009, when she was home alone. They ransacked her home and took her to a brainwashing center at the Hubei Province Forced Labor Camp.

26. [Chongqing ] Ms. Zhang Mingfeng and Mr. Zou Xingke Arrested and Home Ransacked

Huang Song, an official from the Tuzhu Town Comprehensive Administration Office in Shapingba District, along with many officers from Tuzhu Town Police Station, broke into the home of 65-year-old Ms. Zhang Mingfeng and 70-year-old Mr. Zou Xingke. They silently went through everything. They confiscated personal belongings, including Falun Gong books. They took Ms. Zhang and Mr. Zou to the Baihelin Custody Center in the Shapingba District. Both practitioners showed life-threatening symptoms during a routine physical exam prior to being admitted to the custody center, so officials refused to accept them. The practitioners have since returned home.

27. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhang Xinyi on a Hunger Strike

Ms. Zhang Xinyi, who was deported back to China by the Cambodian government despite her efforts to seek asylum there, was deceived into going to Zhuzhou City. The deception took place at the behest of Zhuzhou National Security agents on July 11, 2009, who subsequently arrested her. She is now in the Zhuzhou No. 2 Custody Center.

Officials at the Shifeng Police Department's Domestic Security Division in Zhuzhou City tortured Ms. Zhang. They hung her up by her handcuffs overnight, causing nerve and muscle injuries. She experiences numbness and tingling in her fingers to this day. She started a protest hunger strike that has lasted four days.

28. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Ye Weixiong Taken to the Luogang District

Officials from the Yuexiu District's 610 Office and from the Datang Street Police Station in Guangzhou City arrested Mr. Ye Weixiong on July 18, 2009, and ransacked his home. They took him to the Datang Street Police Precinct that same day and held him for 24 hours. Then they transferred him to the No 2. Detention Center in the Yuexiu District the morning of July 19, 2009. They took him later to the Luogang District.
