Xinji Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary Dead of Cancer at 53

Sept. 17, 2009

(Clearwisdom.net) Editors' note: In both Western and Chinese cultures, the principle of karmic retribution, that is, being held ultimately accountable for one's own actions, is widely accepted. The fundamental teaching of Falun Gong is the characteristic of the universe, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The universe will reward acts that are in harmony with this principle, while doing things such as beating, torturing and murdering people will incur karmic retribution. Stated another way, good deeds will be rewarded with good, while evildoings will meet due retribution. Articles such as this one are meant as a compassionate reminder of this principle to those who would commit wrongdoing. While many of those who persecute Falun Gong are merely "following orders," the universal law requires that they, too, be held responsible for their actions, and that only by reversing their course of wrongdoing may they escape retribution.

Zhang Guozhen was the Political and Judiciary Committee Secretary of Xinji City, Hebei Province. Zhang followed the orders of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to vigorously persecute Falun Gong practitioners and received karmic retribution in June 2009. Zhang died of cancer at the age of 53.

During his years as the secretary of the Xinji Political and Judiciary Committee, Zhang spared no effort in persecuting Falun Gong. Many practitioners were illegally arrested, sentenced, sent to forced labor camp, and subjected to having their homes searched. Tremendous harm, both physical and mental, was inflicted on practitioners and their families.

After transferring out of Xinji, Zhang was appointed deputy director of the City and Town Planning Department of Shijiazhuang City. Before the 2008 Olympics, Zhang returned to Xinji as the leader of the "Welcome, Safety and Development Team." Zhang followed the CCP's directives to severely persecute Falun Gong practitioners. Officials from at least four or five different departments were involved in harassing practitioners. They tried to force the practitioners to write guarantee statements to give up their practice, fill out forms, give their fingerprints, etc. Several hundred practitioners were taken to police stations and detention centers and were arbitrarily arrested, sentenced, and sent to forced labor. So far, they have not been released.

After Tearing Up Falun Gong Truth Clarification Posters, a Woman in Hubei Province Died in an Accident

Less than 40 years old, Ms. Qi was a resident team leader living at No. 94, West Lane, Qixiang Road, Macheng City, Hubei Province. In order to receive 30 yuan per month, she cooperated with the neighborhood committee to destroy Falun Gong truth clarification posters in the area. She also prevented local residents from reading Falun Gong leaflets. When practitioners tried to explain the the real story of Falun Gong, she refused to listen.

On March 25, 2005, Qi rode her brother-in-law's motorcycle home with her little twin girls and her younger brother's child. When they were near the oil refinery on Jinqiao Road, the rear tire suddenly burst. Qi was thrown two meters behind the motorcycle and died instantly. The children were not seriously injured.

Anjing Villager in Chengdu City Monitored a Practitioner, Died at 37

Bai Jihua was a villager from Anjing Township, Pixian County, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province. Poisoned by the CCP's lies, she had been monitoring her mother, a Falun Gong practitioner, for a long time. She would not allow her mother to follow the Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance teachings of Falun Gong and damaged her mother's Falun Gong books many times. She even punched and kicked her mother on various occasions. Her mother kindly advised her not to do such things, but Bai just ignored her. Later, Bai Jihua was diagnosed with cancer of a coronary artery and died the evening of August 21, 2009. She was 37 years old at the time, with a child that is still a minor.

Her supervisor, who directed her to commit bad deeds, was Fan Laoqi, head of the Party Branch. He died of throat cancer just days before Bai Jihua's death.
