(Clearwisdom.net) My sister-in-law is a steadfast Falun Gong practitioner. In1999 when the persecution of Falun Gong first started, she told me over and over about the wonderfulness of Falun Gong and the truth about the persecution. However, I did not appreciate her efforts and sometimes I even verbally abused her or lost my temper at her. I did not listen to what she had to tell me and ignored her compassionate advice.

Early in 2004, due to avascular necrosis of the femoral heads (deficiency of blood supply to the bone) in both hips, I had to have metal plates surgically implanted. I was in constant, extreme pain and, for a while, I was on crutches. I started to lose hope, and my family members were very worried about me. After seeking treatment in various places, I was diagnosed with serious ossein necrosis. The doctor said that if I didn't get treatment in time, I would become paralyzed for life. He also advised that treatment was only available at Jishuitan Hospital in Beijing. When we heard how much the treatment would cost, my entire family was in shock. I was in utter despair and totally gave up hope.

A few days later, my sister-in-law came to visit. She did not bear a grudge towards me even though I had belittled and disrespected Falun Gong. She told me warmly, "You must believe that Falun Gong is good, because now only Falun Gong can help you recover!" She told me in detail about how Falun Gong's Master is here to offer salvation. As long as I believe in Master and believe in Falun Gong, Master will save me. She also told me about the miraculous healing effects of Falun Gong. I was moved by my sister-in-law's compassionate attitude and I could not help but accept a copy of the book Zhuan Falun from her.

Within three days, I finished reading the entire book. Afterwards, I was extremely excited and happy. In the depths of my heart I was shouting, "Compassionate Master, I have let you down! Please forgive me! From today onwards I will definitely be a true practitioner! I will believe in Master and believe in Dafa! I will take the path arranged by Master!"

Under Master's compassionate salvation, in a short time, I could walk without the aid of clutches. My family and those in our village all witnessed this miracle. They had only praise for the miraculousness of Falun Gong.

At harvest season, a crew and equipment arrived to harvest my wheat. After they had finished, I was dismayed to see that there was still a layer of wheat remaining in the fields. When he found out about it, the owner that operated the equipment was very apologetic. I said to him, "I am a Falun Gong practitioner, and I practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Please don't worry--I will not hold this against you and pay you any less. I know that you did not do it on purpose." The villagers and the other harvesters looked at me with surprise. I know that they were moved by the kindness and tolerance of a practitioner.

If I did not cultivate Falun Gong, I would definitely have not taken this matter so lightly. This is because Falun Gong has given my body and my heart a new lease on life and changed me for the better.

Later, I obtained another copy of Zhuan Falun and lent it to my good friends and some people that I know. I encouraged them to pass it amongst themselves, and their feedback increased my motivation and confidence in Falun Gong. Today, I am fortunate to be given an opportunity to cultivate Falun Gong. This is a predestined opportunity that will only come once in thousands or even tens of thousands years!
