Awakened People Helped Free Me from a Wicked Policeman

Jan. 26, 2010

(Clearwisdom.net) The following incident occurred several years ago. With the help of fellow practitioners, I am able to report it now to the Minghui website (Chinese version of Clearwisdom.net).

I lived on a farm at the time, and in the winter of 2006, I went to clarify the facts about Falun Gong on a public street. I was stopped by a young man in his twenties, asking for the time. After I told him, it occurred to me that I should tell him about Falun Gong. Unexpectedly, he grabbed me by the arm, and identified himself as an undercover police officer sent to arrest Falun Gong practitioners. When I tried to explain Falun Gong to him, he wouldn't listen. Instead, he wanted to take me to the police station. He called the police station on his cell phone, but he couldn't get a connection. Then he tried to force me to go to a public phone, but I refused to cooperate.

I started sending forth righteous thoughts and asked Master for his support. I said to Master, "I must not be arrested by this officer, because my job is to save the sentient beings and my aim is to return home." While pulling on my arm, he waved for help to official government vehicles that were passing by. This gave me the idea that I should yell for help from the public too.

A three-wheeler came by and I yelled for help. The driver stopped and asked me what the problem was. I told him that I was telling the young man, "Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. For your own safety, withdraw from the Chinese Communist Party and its youth organizations." But now, I said, this man wants to arrest me. The driver immediately asked the man to release me, but he told the driver that he was a police officer. Furthermore, he indicated that if the driver helped me, he would arrest the driver also. The driver asked me whether I was related to the man in any way, and I replied, "No."

By this time, we were surrounded by many spectators. In a loud voice I said, "I asked this fellow to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, but he wants to arrest me for saying that. He pulled on my sleeve so hard that it's torn." I said to the man, "Young man, if your parents want you to be a good person and ask you to follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, would you want to arrest them? What is wrong with advising you to be a good person?"

At this point, I turned to face the crowd and said, "I didn't do anything wrong. I did ask him to be good. Tell me what is wrong with that." They replied, "Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is the right idea to follow. This lady didn't do anything wrong. Why did you pull on her so hard that you tore her clothing? Doesn't it look bad on a public street?

By that time, more than ten people were surrounding the officer. Some of them held his arm, while others tried to make him release his grip on my arm, saying, "A young man like you shouldn't do this kind of thing." After they broke his grasp on me, they said to me, "Go home now. Pay no attention to him." I was then able to go home.
