Dec. 8, 2010

(Clearwisdom.net) On December 2, 2010, Mr. Lai Yuanshun, council member of Miaoli County, Taiwan, proposed a resolution which calls upon the Taiwan central government to not invite any human rights violators to visit Taiwan. All the council members voted for it. Miaoli is the third county in Taiwan to pass similar resolutions, joining Kaohsiung and Changhua counties.

The council members and local citizens believe that this resolution will help to protect human rights.

Ms. Chu Wanchi, a human rights lawyer, expressed her respect to the county council. She said at the press conference that the Falun Dafa Association in Taiwan has already filed lawsuits against four Chinese officials who have been involved in the persecution of Falun Gong, including Huang Huahua, the governor of Guangdong, Wang Zuo'an, the deputy chief of the Religion Bureau, Zhang Yongzheng, the governor of Shaanxi, and Yang Song, the head of the 610 Office. Ms. Chu pointed out that the Taiwanese don't welcome human rights violators, and hope the government does not invite them to Taiwan.

At the press conference, Falun Gong practitioners re-enacted the organ harvesting crimes committed in China.
