Jan. 25

Mr. Yu Zhongzhu was arrested on the opening day of the Beijing Olympics games. Five months later he was sentenced to six years in prison. He died on January 14, 2010 and his body was cremated without autopsy.

Jan. 26

At the forced labor camp awarded as "Province-Level Advanced Work Unit" by CCP authorities, the persecution is typical of what goes on inside the prison systems throughout China.

Jan. 30

Ms. Zhang Binglan and Mr. Sun Dejian were tried in November, 2009 and their effective defense led to no verdict at the public trial. Two months later they were sentenced.
Because one of the lawyers had visited the United States in 2005 for advanced training, local CCP authorities claimed that he had "background and overseas forces' support."

Jan. 31

He was sentenced to three years in prison. Within two months he was beaten to death by inmates in the jail.
