March 7, 2010

(Clearwisdom.net) SAITAMA, Japan--Shen Yun Performing Arts premiered in Japan in Saitama Prefecture's Kawaguchi City, near Tokyo, on March 4.

Shen Yun's premiere in Japan on March 4 moved the audience in Saitama Prefecture's Kawaguchi City.

It was the first time for Saitama Prefecture Councilor Mr. Asanome Yoshihide to see the show. He said that tenor Hong Min's voice was "overwhelming" in his delivery of the song "Calmly Take a Look."

"If some people are suffering when we are living a happy life, we should give them a helping hand," said Mr. Yoshihide. "No matter what, we should have the compassion to help them. This is my political philosophy, and I think it is a universal value."

Councilor: "I think this program is very good and very educational"

Councilor Ms. Yamakawa Yuriko said that, as soon as the curtain opened, she was dumbfounded. "It was very spectacular and very beautiful. When the curtain opened, I could not help exclaiming, 'Wow!' I was really lucky to have the opportunity to see such a wonderful performance," she said.

Councilor Yamakawa said she was really moved by the dance "Nothing Can Block the Divine Path." The dance exposes the persecution of Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual practice. It bespeaks of the ancient Chinese adage that good is rewarded and evil punished, even if not in this lifetime.

"After the woman was killed and ascended to heaven, the incident enhanced people's awareness that in turn forged into a strong power. I think this program is very good and very educational."

"I will buy 10 tickets for my employees"

After seeing Shen Yun perform, the operator of an interior design company was so delighted that he purchased 10 tickets for his employees that evening.

He said, "I'd heard of divinely-imparted culture in the past, but the spectacular performance in artistic form has further provided us with a clearer picture of this traditional Chinese divinely-imparted culture. It was more solid and real than what I had heard or learned from books."

He immigrated to Japan a long time ago and said he had no idea of the plight of Falun Gong practitioners, who have lived under the threat of persecution for over a decade.

"This righteous show should not only be known by the Chinese community. We should let people around the globe know that justice will eventually overpower evil," he added.

Qigong master: "I felt like dancing"

Qigong master Maiko Uchida was overwhelmed by the performance. She said that, from their facial expressions to the movement of every finger, whatever the performers did was a work of art. "It seemed as if I was watching flying deities in heaven. During the show, my body was vibrating all by itself, as if there was a strong beam of light radiating toward me. It made me feel there was a warm current inside me. As the heavenly deities were dancing and spinning, I felt like dancing with them."

Ms. Uchida had never seen a Shen Yun performance before. "It was the first time for me to see such a pure and beautiful artistic show. I think it is beyond human words, really extraordinary. I sincerely appreciate Shen Yun Performing Arts for bringing me this wonderful feeling."
