May 31, 2010

(Clearwisdom.net) On May 28, Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao visited Korea. Falun Dafa practitioners held a press conference outside the Chinese Embassy in Seoul to call for an immediate end to the persecution of Falun Gong, and called for action to bring the prime culprits of the persecution, Jiang Zemin and his accomplices, to justice.

The Korean Falun Dafa Association held a rally outside the Chinese Embassy during Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's visit

The rally started at 11:30 a.m. Dr. Wu Shilie read a statement from the Korean Falun Dafa Association.

The statement urged Wen Jiabao to "Immediately end the persecution of Falun Gong and bring the chief culprits of the persecution - Jiang Zemin, Luo Gan, Liu Jing and Zhou Yongkang - to justice."

The statement continued, "The persecution of Falun Gong is a crime against humanity and it is a paramount human rights issue to be addressed. The US Congress passed Resolution 605 on March 16, 2010, to express support for Falun Gong and call for an end to the persecution. Since the persecution started in 1999, the US Congress has passed three resolutions to urge the Chinese Communist regime to end the persecution."

The statement warned embassy staff members: "If we find embassy staff members interfering with Falun Gong practitioners' legal activities, we will request the Korean Justice System to hold them accountable. As the tally of people who have quit the Chinese Communist Party and its affiliated organizations continues to grow, we urge you to quit the party for your and your family's future."

The rally ended at 1 p.m. Dr. Wu and several other representatives of the practitioners delivered the statement and a letter to Wen Jiabao to the Embassy.

Reuters, the Associated Press, Central News Agency, Yonhap Press, Sound of Hope Radio, New Tang Dynasty TV and the Epoch Times were present and reported on the rally.
