(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Li Xiuyun is a practitioner in her fifties from Wucheng County, Shandong Province who was cured of cancer and regained her health as a result of practicing Falun Gong. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) subjected her to persecution for many years. While held in the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp in 2008 she lost her mental acuity. Ms. Li became completely paralyzed after she was subjected to torture and force-fed unknown substances.

Ms. Li was arrested and incarcerated twice in the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp, and was once taken to the brainwashing center in Dezhou City by agents from the Wucheng County Police Department.

During the 2008 Olympic Games officials from the Wucheng County Police Department illegally arrested Ms. Li and took her to the Wucheng County Detention Center. Officials there attempted to force Ms. Li to give up her belief, but she refused. The police then sent Ms. Li to the Jinan Women's Forced Labor Camp and unlawfully held her there for one year and nine months.

Ms. Li was initially held in the Third Division. The guards attempted to force Ms. Li to give up her belief, but she refused. She told them of the wonders of Dafa, and how she benefited from practicing cultivation. Then she was transferred into the Fifth Division. Ms. Li continued to practice and kept on shouting, "Falun Dafa is good!" One guard and two collaborators then gagged her with dirty cleaning rags. Sometimes they used packing tape to seal her mouth; other times they tied her up to torture her. The guards detained Ms. Li separately from other prisoners. They put her in a dark room and ordered all other prisoners to slap her whenever they passed her room.

Completely Paralyzed After Being Forced-fed Unknown Substances

Worse still, the guards secretly put unidentified substances in Ms. Li's food, and eventually ordered one of the collaborators to do it, and to force-feed her the food. Ms. Li gradually lost her mental acuity and could no longer speak clearly. She couldn't shout out "Falun Dafa is good!" About two months later Ms. Li felt very weak. She fell to the ground and became paralyzed. The camp officials sent Ms. Li to the Armed Forces Police Jinan Hospital. An examination showed that Ms. Li had suffered a stroke. She underwent surgery, but this did not correct her mental state and she was no longer able to speak or move. The camp officials had to inform Ms. Li's family members. Only after Ms. Li's family surrendered 10,000 yuan for medical expenses was her family able to pick up Ms. Li and take her home. She was completely paralyzed. This was in the autumn of 2009.

The camp's political head is Xiao. He had recently transferred from the Zibo Forced Labor Camp in Shandong Province. The head of the Third Division is Wang Kun; the official in charge of "reforming" practitioners is Xu Hua; the head of the Fifth Division is Wang Shuzhen.
