(Clearwisdom.net) Today's News from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 27 cities or counties in 11 provinces. In this report, 16 practitioners were subjected to mistreatment during their detention and at least 33 practitioners were illegally arrested.
1. [Rizhao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Yang Peichang and Mr. Wang Hongwu Sentenced to Four Years in Prison
Falun Dafa practitioners Mr. Yang Peichang and Mr. Wang Hongwu from Wulian County, Rizhao City, were arrested by officers from the Wulian County Police Department and held in the detention center for over a year. On June 24, 2010, they were taken to Tai'an Prison, Shandong Province, and were sentenced to four-year terms.

3. [Meishan City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Wu Xiaoyi Arrested
At 10:00 a.m., on July 20, 2010, Su Xiaodong from the the Dongpo District Domestic Security Division, Li Xianyi from Wansheng Police Station, and three other officers went to Ms. Wu Xiaoyi's home, located on Jiaodong Street in Wansheng Town, the Dongpo District, Meishan City, and arrested her. Now her whereabouts is unknown.
Ms. Wu's husband works. Her daughter studies at school. Now only her 80-year-old father is at home an there is no one to take care of him. No one takes care of her business. She has been sentenced to forced labor twice and was released last October.

5. [Zhumadian City, Henan Province] Ms. Shi Huiyun Passes Away as Result of the Persecution
Ms. Shi Huiyun, in her 50s, was arrested in December 2009 by police officers from Zhumadian. She was sentenced to four years in prison. In the Henan Province Women's Prison, she was found to be in the late stage of gastric cancer, and her condition was critical. One month after she was released, she passed away as a result of persecution in 2010.
This was the second time she had been sentenced to prison after 2003. That time she was sentenced to four years in prison. Although she was in extremely poor health, guards from the Zhumadian City Detention Center took her to the Henan Province Women's Prison where she was tortured repeatedly.
6. [Qiqiha'er City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Sui Jinglian Arrested and Returned to her Hometown
On July 20, 2010, Ms. Cui Jinglian was arrested in the south by officers from the Longsha Criminal Police Division, Qiqiha'er City. Her husband, Mr. Tian Gang, was arrested at the Tea Store, Qiqiha'er City, on March 12 of this year and was tortured for two or three days. Later he was taken to the local detention center. One week later he was interrogated and tortured again.

7. [Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Cai Lanchun Being Mistreated by Police
Ms. Cai Lanchun, in her 40s, is a store owner. On the morning of March 5, 2006, Zhu Kongqin, director of the Taoshan District Police Department; Sun Tangbin, chief of the security division; Bi Shuqing, chief of the 610 Office; and a dozen officers stormed into Ms. Cai Lanchun's home and arrested her while she was doing laundry. They took her Falun Dafa books, a photo of Master Li Hongzhi, a truth clarifying letter, boxes of printer paper (A4 and B5 sheets), one DVD player, and two portable recorders.
On the night of March 8, 2010, Ms. Cai was held in the Boli County Detention Center. She went on a hunger strike to protest being mistreated. For approximately two weeks, she was taken to the Taishan Criminal Division and brutally beaten. They poured bottled water on her head and hit her on the face. They put her in handcuffs and made her bend over 90 degrees. They threatened her, ordering her not to speak at the material site or to other Falun Gong practitioners. She was first sentenced to one year of forced labor and then to two years.
Her family paid for her release on medical parole on July 29, 2006, and she was forced to sign the three statements (Repentance Statement, Guarantee Statement, and or Dissociation Statement ). At that time, her family gave 40,000 yuan to Zhang Jinming of the Department of Legislative Affairs. Her family asked for a receipt but was not given one. Her bail was one thousand yuan, and the other 39 thousand yuan is missing. Sun Tangbin with the Department of Security also forfeited another five thousand yuan.
8. [Jilin Province] Ms. Li Xi'e and Another Falun Gong Practitioner Sentenced to One and a Half Years of Forced Labor
Ms. Liu Xi'e and another practitioner were monitored by plainclothes officers and arrested on July 1, 2010. They were held in Weizigou and sentenced to one and a half years of forced labor.
9. [Shanghai] 610 Office Agents Mistreat Falun Dafa Practitioners at the "World Expo"
With the coming of July 20, 610 Office agents in Shanghai threatened all agents from different districts, and told neighborhood administration officers to harass Falun Gong practitioners. Some practitioners were arrested and taken to a brainwashing center. Ms. Gong Naiying, in her 70s, from Damuqiao Road in the Xuhui District, Shanghai, was arrested and taken to a brainwashing center. At her home, there is a man over 80 years old who needs to be taken care of. No one prepares food for him and he cries every day.
10. [Dingzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Lingjun Arrested
On the morning of July 16, 2010, Ms. Zhang Lingjun from Dingzhou City, in her 50s, was arrested by officers from the police department, the domestic security division, and the Beicheng Police Station. She is now in the Dingzhou City Detention Center.

11. [Cao County, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners including Ms. Sun Hongru Arrested
On July 17, 2010, practitioners in Cao County including Ms. Sun Hongru, Ms. Sun Hongguang, Ms. Tao Ping and Mr. Zhao Wenxing were arrested in their homes.
12. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Mr. Tian Huaibao Arrested
Mr. Tian Huaibao from Yingqiu Town, Changle County, was arrested by officers from the Changle County 610 Office and the Yingqiu Town Police Station, because he did not give up practicing Falun Gong. He was sentenced to forced labor and is in Zhangqiu Forced Labor Camp. He has released solemn statements and continues to practice Falun Gong. As a result of the persecution, he has hepatitis B with HbsAg, HBeAg, HbcAb positive, heart disease, and high blood pressure. His family asked for his release but guards at the labor camp have turned down their requests.
13. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Ms. Guo Suhua and Mr. He Jun Arrested
On the morning of July 17, 2010, Ms. Guo Suhua and Mr. He Jun from Linquan County, Fuyang City, went to Wadian Town, Linquan County, to distribute truth clarifying materials and were monitored. They were reported to the Wadian Police Station and county Security Division and were detained in the county Detention Center.

14. [Beijing ] Mr. Jia Fuqiang Still Mistreats Falun Gong Practitioners
Mr. Ma Haichun was once arrested and held in a brainwashing center and a forced labor camp. Later he was reported for clarifying the truth. Police officers stormed into his home and arrested him. He was monitored at his residence. This method of monitoring is known as "execution outside of detention center." Jia Fuqiang, a police officer ( 86-13911192128, Cell) harasses Mr. Ma and has ordered him to hand in a "thought reports." He also closely monitors Mr. Ma.
Due to the pressure of the persecution, his wife died two years ago from disease. His elderly parents appear emaciated and are in poor health. His sister and sister-in-law have been poisoned against him by the Communist Party and are involved in monitoring him.
15. [Qidong County, Hunan Province] Mr. Tan Guiyuan Arrested
In the middle of the night on July 19, 2010, dozens of officers from the Political Security Division in Qidong County and Buyunqiao Town Police Station stormed into Mr. Tan Guiyuan's home in Pingtang Village and arrested him. His wife, who tried to intervene, also arrested and taken to the Political Security Division.
16. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Guilan and Ms. Xiaoji Arrested
Ms. Wang Guilan and Ms. Xiaoji from Tangshan City were arrested by officers from the Tangshan Plaza on the morning of July 21, 2010, as the two women were clarifying the truth. They are now in the Plaza Police Station.
17. [Anping County, Hebei Province] Ms. Zheng Suya Arrested Again
At 9:00 a.m. on March 24, 2010, Mr. Zhang Mancang, Mr. Wang Lushen, and Mr. Zhu Jianhui were tried in Anping Court. At the trial only one member of each family was allowed to attend the hearing. On April 28, 2010, Mr. Zhang was secretly tried and sentenced to seven years in prison and was taken to Shijiazhuang Prison. On May 4, 2010, Mr. Wang was secretly sentenced to eight years in prison and Mr. Zhu to six years. Both were taken to Jidong Prison, Tangshan City.
On July 10, 2010, the agents from the court ordered police officers from the police department and the Chengguan Police Station to arrest Ms. Zheng Suya. She was taken to Hengshui Detention Center and the Shen County Detention Center, and both centers refused to accept her. Later she was taken to Raoyang Detention Center. Agents with the court plan to try Ms. Zheng.

18. [Shanghai] Information About Mistreated Practitioners in Shanghai
Ms. Zhang Jixiu, Ms. Huang Longmei, and Ms. Guo Yuezhu, all from the Minxing District, were reported on the morning of July 8, 2010, when they were clarifying the truth in the Wenshang area, Jinshan. They are now in the Jinshan Detention Center.
19. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Duan Baoguan Arrested and His Wife Forced to Leave Home
Mr. Duan Baoguan from Shengjinbo Village, Guanshui Town, Yantai City, was arrested on the morning of July 20, 2010. A few days later, he was taken home in handcuffs. His home was ransacked and personal property including a computer was confiscated. His wife, Ms. Wang Debo, was not at home. When she returned home she found it a mess. She left to avoid being arrested.

21. [Acheng City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Qu Shuli and Ms. Wang Hong Detained Five Days
At 9:00 a.m. on May 28, 2010, Ms. Qu Shuli and Ms. Wang Hong from Sheli Township, Acheng City, went to Bahutun, Shuangfeng Township to tell people the truth about Falun Gong and try to persuade them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. They were reported and arrested by officers from the Shuangfeng Township Police Station. They were held at the Acheng City Second Detention Center. They were released five days later, on June 3, 2010.
22. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Fan Chunmei and Ms. Chen Yelin Arrested
Ms. Fan Chunmei and Ms. Chen Yelin from Qiancheng Town, Huaihua City, were telling people the facts about Falun Gong on July 19, 2010 at a market, when they were arrested. At Ms. Chen Yelin's home, her computer and printer were taken away.
23. [Gucheng County, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhang Jinsheng Arrested
The secretary of Zhengkou Group, Gucheng County, and other officers went to Mr. Zhang Jinsheng's home several times about two weeks ago, and threatened to take him to a brainwashing center. Today it is reported that he has been arrested.

At 11:00 a.m. on July 21, 2010, Ms. Liu Jinying was arrested by officers from the Weifang City 610 Office and Xiashan City 610 Office. They also took a TV, a VCD, and a satellite receiver.
25. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Fan Shumei and Ms. Chen Yanling Arrested
Ms. Fan Shumei and Ms. Chen Yanling from Hongjiang City were arrested plainclothes officers on July 19, 2010. The women had been clarifying the truth in Qiancheng Town.
26. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Qing Sentenced to Three Years in Prison and Held in Dashan Detention Center
27. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiao Xiuyun Mistreated in Jinan City First Forced Labor Camp
Reportedly, Ms. Jiao Xiuyun was arrested on October 18, 2010, in Jinan City. She was taken to the Jinan City Detention Center, located in Zhonggong Town. She was sentenced to one year of forced labor and has been sent to Jinan City First Forced Labor Camp.
28. [Xixia City, Shandong Province] Mr. Mou Zuguang Mistreated
Mr. Mou Zuguang from Tangjiabo Town, Xixia City, was reported by a 20-year-old man when he distributed truth clarifying materials at a market on July 19, 2010. He was arrested by police officers including Tan Chenglun, director of town police station, and Xu Xishun. Tan and the other officers brutally beat Mr. Mou. Later, at least three officers, including Tan and Xu, stormed into Mr. Mou's home and ransacked it. They took away his personal property including cash (at least several hundred yuan), Dafa books, a computer, and DVD player. They also took a dictionary, a watch, glue, lighter, scissors, and pens. Mr. Mou escaped.

29. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Mr. Li Huzhe, of Korean Ethnicity, Arrested by 610 Office Two Weeks Ago
30. [Xi'an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Zhao An Arrested and His Home Ransacked
Mr. Zhao An from a northern rural area of Xi'an City was arrested by police officers from Taihua Road, near Haiyuan Road, and his home was ransacked. They took away Dafa books, truth clarifying materials, and personal phone books. He is now in the Changlepo Detention Center, Xincheng District.
31. [Meihekou City, Jilin Proivnce] Ms. Wang Mingjun Arrested Again
At noon on July 21, 2010, Shao Ran from Hongmei Town Police Station in Meihekou City, along with a few other officers, stormed into a small restaurant owned by Ms. Wang Mingguan. She was put into a police vehicle and taken away. Her current whereabouts are unknown.
At 10: 00 a.m. that same day, officers from Shancheng Town Government Agency in Meihekou City went to Gangqiao Hotel in Shangcheng Town and arrested two practitioners, Ms. Yin Guifen and Ms. Zhou Guiqiu, both in their 60s, who were attending a wedding at the time.

32. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] More Information about Ms. Si Bingling Being Arrested
Ms. Si Bingling was arrested 12 days ago in Fangzheng County, Harbin City. In the middle of the night, officers from the local 610 Office went to her home to harass her two children. They induced the children into making a "confession." The children's father, Mr. Wang Hai, has been arrested many times since he had not given up his faith since the persecution began. He has not stayed at home more than two years during an 11-year period. He is still being held in Daqing Prison.
