Legal Office in Qingdao City Again Subjects Gao Mingxia to Persecution

(Clearwisdom.net) Ms. Gao Mingxia was illegally arrested by undercover officer Yue Feng (police ID: 112168) and several other officers from the Licun Police Station in Qingdao City at around 7:00 p.m. on July 11, 2010. The officers had waited outside her apartment until she returned home.

The arrest warrant was issued by the Dongshan Community Committee in Lichang District and signed by its director.

Ms. Gao was sent to the Qingdao No. 3 Detention Center.

Ms. Gao, 45, began practicing Falun Gong in March 1999. She worked at the Technical Supervision Bureau in Chengyang District. Her home address is 1034 Zhonglao Rd., Lichang District, Qingdao City, Building 2, Apt. 202.

Following her arrest, Ms. Gao's family went to the police station to seek answers. They were told that Ms. Gao was arrested because she had escaped from the police station in 2007, and her name was listed on the police station's "wanted" list.

On the afternoon of August 9, 2010, Yue Feng called Ms. Gao's husband and told him to come to the police station. When Ms. Gao's husband arrived the next day, Yue gave him a copy of the arrest warrant from the Qingdao Police Department. Yue also indicated that Ms. Gao's case had been transferred to the Lichang Procuratorate, who had approved the arrest and the extended detention period on August 9.

Members of Ms. Gao's family went to the Lichang Procuratorate on August 11, but were barred from entering. The guard at the door spoke to the officials then informed the family that the case had been handled by Yang Fengji, and that it was returned to the police department.

Repeatedly Persecuted since 1999

Ms. Gao has been persecuted for over ten years because she persists in practicing Falun Gong. In December 1999, she went to Beijing to appeal for justice for Falun Gong. Shortly thereafter, on January 2, 2000, the Lichang Police Department detained her for 15 days. She was detained again for another 15 days on July 10, 2000.

On October 10, 2000, she was fired from her job because she refused to give up her belief in Falun Gong.

On October 26, 2000, she was arrested by officers from the 610 Office and the Lichang Police Department, and sentenced to three years of forced labor at the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo Town. She was released early, after agreeing to give up Falun Gong under duress, but decided to rescind her statements soon after being released.

In spring 2002, Gao Mingxia was arrested by Liu Yajun from the 610 Office and officers from the Licun Police Station, and subjected to one year of brainwashing sessions at 34 Mingxia Rd., which were organized by the Qingdao 610 Office.

In November 2003, Ms. Gao was arrested again while she clarified the facts about the persecution of Falun Gong to people on the street. She was sent to the Wangcun Forced Labor Camp in Zibo for another three years.

On March 30, 2007, Ms. Gao was arrested at her home and sent to the Licun Police Station again. This time she escaped and left her home to avoid further persecution. However, officers Liu Xiangqian from the 610 Office,Wang Jianyuan from Licun Police Station and section chief Zhao from the Lichang Police Department continued to harass her family.
