(Clearwisdom.net) Officials of the Fanjiatai Jail in Shayang County, Hubei Province have actively participated in the persecution of Falun Gong. In 2002, Ward No. 4 was founded, which is specifically used for detaining Falun Gong practitioners. Ward head Xiao Tianbu, deputy ward head Duan Yu, political head Xiong Zuyong, deputy political head Wang Xiongjie and team lead Shen Jianjun have gone all out to persecute practitioners.

Between February and March of 2007, practitioners who were detained in Qinduankou Jail in Wuhan City were transferred to the Fanjiatai Jail in two batches. The first batch was detained in the sub-ward, for which Shen Jianjun is the head. Six practitioners from the second batch were detained in the entry ward, and all others were detained in Ward No.3, for which Wang Xiongjie is the head.

Officials from the Fanjiatai Jail continuously received money from the Communist Party for their efforts in persecuting practitioners. This jail was actually turned into a brainwashing center.

In order to force practitioners to give up their belief, officials at the Fanjiatai Jail built a building to detain practitioners. Younger practitioners are being detained on the first floor and have to perform heavy labor. Older practitioners, the ones who were weak after being tortured or the ones who are going to be released soon, are detained on the second floor and are being punished for a long time and are also forced to perform manual labor.

Since September 2009, when practitioners were moved to a new building, guards tortured them on the second floor. The guards involved are sub-ward head Chen Hao and team lead Chen Liang. Several prisoners also actively participated in the persecution.

On February 24, 2011, Xiao Tianbo led guards to attempt to force practitioners to do heavy labor, but they refused. Practitioners Yao Xiao'an and Wang Jijun said loudly, “Falun Dafa is Good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Falun Dafa is the right way.” Because of this, they were brutally beaten by prisoners, who had been instructed to do so by guards. Yao Xiao'an was put in a solitary confinement cell.

In April 2011, practitioners who were held on the first floor had to join the “criticizing meeting”. During a meeting, practitioners Yu Guangde and Zhang Hongwei shouted, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” As a result, the guards ordered prisoners to beat them until they were unconscious and then throw them onto the basketball court.

In June, prisoners were ordered again to beat practitioner Liu Jigang, because he refused to perform the “prisoner's work”. As a result of the beating, he suffered from facial paralysis.

On September 30, 2010, jail officials held a “criticizing meeting” and forced practitioners to participate. At the entrance, practitioner Liu Deyu shouted, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good. Falun Dafa is the right way.” All of the practitioners were taken back to their cells. Prisoner Wang Dejiang beat Liu in the face.

Between the middle of March and the middle of April of 2011, guards ordered prisoners Zeng Xiangjun and Ye Mingke to reduce practitioners' food allowance for several months, in an attempt to force them to do labor. They also forced practitioners to sit on a very small stool from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.. After lunch, they had to continue to sit from 12:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and again right after dinner from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m..

March 10, 2011 was the date when practitioner Mr. Liu Shuisheng was supposed to be released. He had contacted his family on March 9, and asked them to pick him up the next morning. However, guards didn't allow his family to pick him up. Instead, they informed officials from the 610 Office in Wuhan City to take him away.

At 11:00 p.m. on March 9, the political head instructed prisoner Hu Feiqiang to tell Liu Shuisheng that he was being released and tried to take him outside. Liu Shuisheng said, “My family will come and pick me up tomorrow, I won't leave now.” Hu Feiqiang started to scold and beat him. Later, he called prisoner Ma Jun to forcibly carry Liu outside. Xiong Zuyong handed him over to officials from the Wuhan City 610 Office.

Practitioner Wang Delin from Shiyan City was locked in solitary confinement on April 19, 2011, because he refused to do labor. During the day, hired thugs had to monitor practitioners and at night, they tortured practitioners in a variety of ways.

In April 2011, practitioner Liu Ning, from the Northeast of China, was isolated by guard Wang Xiongjie and brainwashed. Guards instructed prisoners Wu Qianfeng and Zhou Hongsong to beat Liu every day, which resulted in Liu's arms and legs turning black and blue. The prisoners especially beat Liu's joints, which resulted in him being unable to walk for a long time. Prisoners received improved meals as a reward for beating him.

Practitioner Chen Xinan, a senior citizen from Xiangfan City, was abused by Xiao Tianbo for half the day on April 20, 2011. Chen was forced to stand still and face the wall for an entire afternoon.

Since the beginning of August 2011, guards Chen Liang and Chen Hao didn't allow practitioners on the second floor to get hot water. They instructed prisoners Hu Feiqiang and Majun to closely monitor them, and if anyone gave hot water to practitioners, that person wouldn't get any hot water either.

Since May 2011, practitioner Liu Deyu from Jingmen City has been severely mistreated. Guards instructed prisoner Zheng Jiaqing to beat Liu every day.

In July 2011, practitioners Cheng Deyong and Li Jinyang refused to get a prison haircut. Because of this, eight prisoners led by Hu Feiqiang beat them. Prisoner Wang Zhipin even used the hair clippers to beat Cheng Deyong, injuring Cheng's head and causing the clippers to break.
