Ms. Liang Xiuying from Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Arrested for Writing Letters to Advise Officials to Do Good

Nov. 20, 2011 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent in Inner Mongolia, China

(Clearwisdom.net) Hongshan District Domestic Security Division officers in Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia suddenly arrested district resident, 67-year-old Ms. Liang Xiuying, around 11:00 a.m. on November 9, 2011.

The police used the excuse that Ms. Liang had written letters to related government agencies and officials asking them not to persecute Falun Gong practitioners who believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and to stop the persecution and do good deeds. The community was surprised that Ms. Liang was arrested for kindly advising regime authorities to stop committing crimes. She was taken to a detention center and her home was ransacked.

The police charged Ms. Liang with “disrupting public order.”

Ms. Liang improved both physically and mentally after practicing Falun Gong. Her community and neighbors praise her as a good person, and her relatives respect her. Her sudden arrest and detention caused discussion among her friends and relatives: “Why don't the police arrest bad people, instead of good people? The CCP really is finished.” “In China when an old woman writes letters providing good advice it becomes a big deal, but the regime's police don't pursue or arrest thieves, robbers or swindlers.”
