Only This Village Has Rain

In a village in rural Liaoning province prior to July 1999, a group of Falun Dafa practitioners happily studied the Fa and did the exercises daily. However, after July 20, 1999, the persecution of Falun Dafa started, and there was word that they would look for Dafa practitioners in the village. The village head told the officials sent by the higher authorities that none of the villagers practiced Falun Dafa. He also warned his subordinates not to tell anybody from outside the village that they had Falun Dafa practitioners. No matter who came asking about Falun Dafa practitioners in their village, they all got the same answer. As a result, none of the practitioners were persecuted.

The village is located in a hilly area. They grow fruit as the main crop and depend on ample rainfall. In the fall, it did not rain often enough. However, this fall, while it was dry all over, it rained three times in the village and only in this village. The neighbouring villages had no rain at all. The farmers were thrilled, “How come we are the only village that gets rain?” The Falun Dafa practitioners explained to them that it was because they understood the truth and were kind to the village practitioners. The village was rewarded as a result.

Special Birthday Present

One day in October 2011, a fellow planned to have a birthday party for his mother who is a Falun Dafa practitioner. Prior to the event, he reminded his mother not to talk to people about Falun Dafa. At the party, they had close to 50 people, including a few plain-clothed police officers.

Before the banquet started, the son spoke to the crowd, “My mother has practiced Falun Dafa for years and has benefited quite a lot from it.” Then he spoke into the microphone and said, “Falun Dafa is good.” He was met with applause from the audience. Then he invited everyone to say with him, “Falun Dafa is good.” As everyone did this, the sound echoed in the banquet hall.

The mother was pleasantly surprised by what her son had done and had tears in her eyes when she said, “Son, thank you so much. This is the best birthday present for me.” Before the party ended, the mother took out the truth clarification VCDs that she had prepared, and gave each guest a copy. The son said to the guests, “Don't forget to check out these VCDs!”
