Three Falun Gong Practitioners Sent to Forced Labor Camp

Dec. 11, 2011 |   By a Clearwisdom correspondent from Hebei Province, China

(Clearwisdom.net) On the morning of July 6, 2011, Ms. Gao Meiying, Mr. Zheng Zengchen, and Ms. Wu Hongyan from the Fuxing District of Handan City talked to people about how wonderful Falun Dafa is. They also talked about the persecution of Falun Gong. They did this publicly to people they encountered in Zhaoyuan Park. They told people to “quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and to recite 'Falun Dafa is good and Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.'” However, someone who had been deceived by all the false propaganda against Falun Gong reported the three practitioners to the police. Officers from the Sijiqing Police Department arrested the three practitioners and took them to the Fuxing District Police Station.

Personnel from the Hualin Police Department in Fuxing District ransacked the home of Mr. Zheng Zengchen and took his computer and printer.

The three practitioners' families went to the Congtai District Police Station and the Sijiqing Police Station to try to get the three practitioners released. Their fellow practitioners wrote letters to the police, mailed Falun Gong materials to them, called them many times to talk about Falun Gong and demanded that they release the practitioners. However, the police turned a deaf ear. They interrogated the practitioners many times and pressured them to write a guarantee statement to give up practice.

The three practitioners refused to give up their belief, so Director Niu Shengmin of the Congtai Police Department and commissar Wang Yongxiang sent the practitioners to a forced labor camp.

Because the police confiscated a computer and printer from Mr. Zheng Zengchen's home, Mr. Zheng was sentenced to forced labor for 18 months.

Ms. Wu Hongyang was sentenced to forced labor for 15 months. In Ms. Wu's home, people from the Hualin Police Department found nothing related to Falun Gong. The so-called “evidence” was the amulet (1) she gave to an undergraduate.

Officers from the Hualin Police Department also did not find any so-called “evidence” in Ms. Gao Meiying’s home. Ms. Gao was sentenced to one year of forced labor because she refused to give up practicing Falun Gong.

Director Niu Shengmin and commissar Wang Yongxiang from the Congtai District Police Department sent Ms. Zheng Zengchen, Ms. Wu Hongyan, and Ms. Gao Meiying to the Shijiazhuang Woman’s Forced Labor Camp.

Note: (1) Amulets In China, practitioners sometimes "clarify the truth" by giving people something small to wear or cherish, bearing a few words reminding them of the goodness of Dafa.
